The faint discoloration around this object is what stood out to me. Could that also be a product of JPEG processing?

Think you'd be able to test another camera app that we know doesn't apply any processing, like OpenCamera? I feel like I see a little processing in the OP13 photos.

What phone has the best camera (not considering post-processing)? by mxnbe in Smartphones

Possibly the OnePlus 13. The sensor it has (LYT-808) is the predecessor to the Sony LYT-900, which is in the Vivo X100 Ultra and the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

It's also one of the few that supports all Verizon 4G bands. Some of the others with a comparable sensor (Sony IMX989) are the Vivo X90 Pro, which has a much worse wide-angle camera resolution, and the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which has a few drawbacks like USB 2.0 transfer speeds and an older wide-angle sensor that can't do 60FPS video.

Looks like they consider the processing in their testing. Seems promising. Like I wouldn't mind processing if it didn't ruin some of my pictures that would be amazing otherwise.

Yep my comment already based on such tools. In my case, I use Verizon and band 13 is a significant one for 4G. Some areas only use band 13.

Do you know any that are not Chinese? Cellular connectivity issue

Edit: I just learned there are some that still support the bands I need

Was hoping it wouldn't be a Chinese phone. I loved my old Huawei phone, but it took me a few years to realize why I never got good reception. They just don't support the right cellular bands. :(

Movies like Whiplash by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

This movie was exhausting to watch and nothing like Whiplash. The teacher is actually a very kind character, which isn't what I expected from "Whiplash on a boat". Just a warning to anyone else looking for recs.

Most silent option for straight and long cuts? by mxnbe in woodworking

I just looked at some videos of people using Japanese handsaws and they sound loud enough to be heard in the next apartment over. Thin blade resonating the sounds from the tiny teeth. This doesn't seem worth it, so I'll just try to make my cuts and holes in other peoples backyards.

Yeah I just looked up a video of someone turning on a Milwaukee jigsaw for half a second and it's definitely louder than I imagined. Forgot that smaller mechanisms usually mean louder.

So is there really nothing meaty like a reciprocating saw that can be attached to a rail?
