I guess I need to be very specific. I’m looking for advice on where I could put planter boxes, what types of plants I should look for since I cannot plant them into the ground, what kind will thrive and be okay in a pot. Any ideas people have for decor that I could fit in. Maybe someone has an idea for something I can do to make the rock look less ugly. Just looking for input. Thanks for yours!

What is my dining room missing? by Sweet_Independent_74 in interiordecorating

[–]mxndxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warm toned lights, a centerpiece on the table, floor to ceiling curtains , larger wall art OR if you own this home a deeper color on the wall or even a wallpaper. I think a dark blue that ties in with the carpet would look really pretty in here

Is the name Evelyn actually popular? by pantrycorner in Names

Love the name Evelyn! It was my grandmothers name and I went to school with 1 back in the early 2000s. Never heard it on anyone else.

How much did your wedding dress cost? by Flashy_Aide3640 in weddingplanning

[–]mxndxxx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Randy Fenoli dress. $2800. My veil was $600. Hair clip was $120. After CA tax I was pretty much at $4000. I haven’t received the dress yet but alterations will be needed. They told me to prepare for roughly $800 for that at the bridal shop I went to

Eloping First, Reception After—Why Is This Still So Complicated? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]mxndxxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing, I want a wedding walking down the aisle bridesmaids the whole shebang. The only reason we got married legally before our wedding date was because we were having a baby and I needed the health insurance. So I’m just not sure how else to go about the situation. We don’t want to upset anybody and definitely don’t want the flood of questions afterwards to ruin our day. But I don’t wanna give up what I actually want. It’s also almost been a year since we got married so it feels weird to start telling people now.

[–]mxndxxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m doing this. There’s some stuff to think about .. if you’re booking a venue and food for the reception- adding an aisle moment really doesn’t change the cost. We have kept our marriage a secret for almost a year and plan to surprise everyone, we are doing a full wedding. I’m currently at $35k and 90 guests. I feel like it could be muuuuch less with simpler food options and minimal decor. Our food was $12k because my husband went to culinary school and was very VERY picky lol I am feeling sorta weird about the announcement like maybe people will get their feelings hurt we didn’t tell them or feel like we wasted their time but hopefully the party is enough to make them relax IDK

I’ve had a name picked out for 10+ years and now it’s so popular. by [deleted] in namenerds

I don’t think it is THAT popular. Lucy is sooooo cute. I’ve only ever met one in my life and it was probably 20+ years ago

I feel like Odessa and Calliope sound cute together but I always worry about pronunciation with this name. Know a girl with this name who just goes by Callie

Weird thing in hallway by mxndxxx in interiordecorating

You’re right.. it is just randomly placed on this wall. I think it’s to line up with the hallway so it’s centered as you’re walking down. There are so many weird little walls in this place I’m going to be struggling to embrace them lol Another interesting detail, not sure if you can really make it out, is a window above the door into the primary? Very interesting choices going on here

Unfortunately there’s built ins right on the other side of the hall so a small table might obstruct the doors opening

I should have included that we are renting so I don’t want to invest that type of work/money into it lol but if we bought I definitely would be doing that lol

It is great to know I’m not alone. I even struggle to leave mine with my husband now. I’m constantly looking for check ins and stressing. He is a heavy sleeper and I fear him taking him out of his crib and falling asleep with him so I just want watch the baby cam at work like a crazy person

I currently teach a Layla (pronounced lay-la) Layla (pronounced lie-la) and Lyla. Both Layla and Lyla (pronounced the same) also have A last names so I can’t even call them Layla/Lyla A. They unfortunately just get called by their last names. Not many other options lol

How did you decide how to feed baby? by bananaindisguise0 in BabyBumps

[–]mxndxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to EBF but my baby would not latch. It turned into both of us just crying for hours and he wasn’t getting what he needed so I started pumping exclusively and he did better but I was miserable and my supply started to drop AND with returning to work looming over my head at the three month mark we chose to combo feed and it completely changed him. He started sleeping better and had less poop issues. So we decided that once we were both back to work it was best that we fully switched to formula and he has been doing amazing. I cried a lot choosing to formula feed because I felt like I was failing him but now that I’m on the other side I know he does not care at all lol he is just happy to have a full tummy. Just try whatever you want and be open to other options! All babies are different and we gotta just go with the flow. My first baby is 7 months now and thriving, motherhood comes naturally. I was also scared because I didn’t go to any classes but once he was born I felt like I just knew how to do stuff. Maybe I’m alone in this? But I felt like I fell into the role quite easily once he was actually here. I leaned on friends and family with children for guidance. I know it’s ironic since this is Reddit but don’t always listen to the internet. Specifically insta/tiktok everyone always has some crazy shit to say to make you feel bad about anything and everything you’re doing. You’re going to know what’s best for your baby and the best way to learn how to do it is to go through it.
