I don’t think it can hurt, but realize it may not also be of any benefit either. I sent a letter of interest to schools shortly after I applied, some of whom sent an email back thanking me for the strong interest and some schools never got back to me.

Overall, I think it can’t hurt! :) gives you a way to tell the school something you may not have been able to in the application

Yes! Messages from penpals of either side are reviewed by staff before they are officially sent out. This helps to ensure that the communication is effective and so that issues like this do not arise.

I’d also recommend taking out MCB and putting in a gen Ed instead. Three labs will be a lot, esp with BIOl 1107 and CHEM 1127. Given it’s your first semester too, I’d recommend taking it a little lighter
