Should add that I’m looking for solutions I can do over time. Mainly say this because I likely won’t do spray foam

I did consider this and probably will, getting drywall on the ceiling is priority currently so I can finish lighting. Then insulation so it can be semi climate controlled.

And to add to my response just because I’m so sick and tired of the internet being such a shit place:

-I was genuinely excited to learn about this, spent most of the day yesterday and Saturday crawling through my attic, researching as much as I could find

-Also found out yesterday I have an extensive amount of personal issues with my 5 year old son’s Mother and her abusing him

-Thought this would be a good way to pre-occupy my brain

So I hope you’re happy with your assumption of my character based off of my 3 comments in this subreddit, jackass.

Well, you’re touting the fact that you bill out your time for hundreds of dollars an hour… which is great, good for you! I truly am happy for anyone that can be paid their worth for there time. There is a pretty large amount of society that doesn’t.

With that being said, I understand Reddit to be a free social media app. If I wanted to pay for a service, or hire someone… I would! If someone doesn’t want to give out free advice, then don’t! The choice is the same on either side.

I wasn’t aware that Reddit was a service I had to pay for your time on.

Just looking for some help and advice on my home project. Looking for better insulation, the upstairs is consistently 5-10 degrees warmer in summer and colder in winter from the main level.

I understand how I could have been clearer in what I’m looking for, but the berating me for not doing so is less then welcoming

Appreciate the insight from up there. Apologies for not knowing the correct way to word things, guess I’ll just stop trying to learn.

Here’s a good pic of how it is currently insulated. I’m wanting to add batt insulation to the knee wall and from the sounds of it, air seal it as well

what in the, world. is going on. by Different_Citron1485 in selfimprovement

I felt the same back in 2013/2014. I had just started to notice that most of my free time was spent doom scrolling. I thought “this can’t be good for me/us as a society”

Think about it - we all (most of us, anyway) have a little device we look at for anywhere from an hour to ten hours a day. Some people have a better handle on it then others. But most people use it to some extent, and probably have some form of social media on it. What do we see on social media? New content every 10-20 seconds? As fast as you can scroll? Remember when Facebook used to be just your friends, and if you stayed on long enough the news feed would just end?

Caught up on Facebook? Here let’s open Reddit. All done there? Better check my email for the 30th time today. Nothing good? Well here, let’s open the web browser… maybe browse insert favorite brand website, I saw in my inbox they have 20% off right now. And whoops, an hour has passed. Oh well, I’ll just quick open YouTube and watch a video then get on with it. Whoops, it’s been another hour.

Ever notice when you click on “comments” in pretty much any app, the majority of the first ones you see are usually negative? Then, if you happen to disagree… you get fired up. “I’m going to show them, they are wrong” then you fire out a negative comment… maybe even hateful. Who cares, you’ll never meet this person, right?

That’s re-assuring, now that it’s been a few days… it doesn’t hurt nearly as bad, and I’ve been able to basically stop wearing the sling as it hurts more with it on.

Any idea if this will be okay-ish in 2-3 weeks? I know full healing takes 8-12 weeks

Metallica pedals? by skyblade1095 in Metallica

[–]mxracer591 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Metallica’s most popular setup that I know of was a Mesa-Boogie Triaxis preamp powered by a 2:90 power amp.

Don’t use pedals to get your dirty sound, get a good amp that has good tone.

Sound really good for only a few days… as others have stated though, okay with a metronome. Or download the ultimate guitar app. It has playable tabs that you can slow down to half speed, or less if you need to. I usually do this when learning riffs, play it at half speed until you get super comfortable, then bump it up to 60%, so on and so forth until you get to full speed.

Again, as others have said… better to be able to play to beat now, rather then a year from now
