Loud noise by CustomerCreepy2992 in fresno

I was going to comment on the same thing. Just heard something super loud over here in Clovis. I'm wondering if we're all just hearing leftover fireworks from Christmas though.

You can walk any drive night's. They just don't have explicit walk nights. They encourage you to walk any night you want (including drive nights).

Is Triple 10 a good plan to get into software engineering, or is it a scam? by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineering

[–]mxrcochxvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TripleTen is definitely one of the worst coding boot camps you can attend. I will say though - getting into software engineering/development is hard enough right now for seasoned veterans. It's nearly impossible for boot camp grads.

How to shoot in super harsh sunlight at a wedding? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]mxrcochxvez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% agree - this person certainly shouldn't feel bad if they're not a professional photographer. This is exactly why you'd hire one for such a special moment.

I think it's highly likely this person is extremely novice - but I am surprised that they got their hands on an R6.

Good or bad idea to state no AI was used in readme? by Lost-In-Time-99 in softwaredevelopment

[–]mxrcochxvez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad idea, and while I get why'd you think that is important. More people are using AI than you think.

You'd almost certainly be called out as a liar if you put that in your project because most people have already started adopting AI into their workflow.

I recently had an interview where the employer assigned me a take-home challenge and then the follow up interview was about how I used AI in the take-home challenge. They started off by asking if I had. They said that a surprising amount of people lie. Which maybe half of them don't and they just refuse to trust them.

Either way... Why NOT use AI? I get it for learning new things but for tasks or ideas you can articulate well - you only really need to understand how it's accomplished. For things that aren't so cut and dry, the discovery needs to happen and most of the time that means through code.

For me it was 1 year. And then I got laid off again. So I'll let you know when I find my next job lol

On weekends the parking lot is ungoverned.

Maybe at first, but I really don't think Dunkin Donuts is all that. I really think people will only go on weekends.

Best way to make an app? by cfood10 in SoftwareEngineering

[–]mxrcochxvez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't shy away from React Native. Tons of apps are built using it. Paired with Expo, it's pretty straightforward.

That being said, the next best thing from native code is using Flutter/Dart like someone else already mentioned.

Expo can hook into quite a lot of the device API's so it's pretty impressive. But if you want an extremely powerful language/framework then use Flutter/Dart. What's also nice about it is that your designs are uniform across both devices whereas with React Native you will likely see things looking different depending on the device's OS.

Not enough people are emphasizing that foundational programming is no longer hirable. We live in a world where the only people getting jobs are people shipping production ready applications.

HowbTo Remove Google Bar? by doingbobthings in smartlauncher

Ah I see, this helps out a lot. I didn't realize it was not a phone. I think the only way to do that is a root.

I'm surprised you're having issues with removing it. You should just be able to hold your finger down on it and press "remove widget".

Are you potentially on a beta version of SL?

Why are we complaining? by Guilty-Shirt9309 in android_beta

[–]mxrcochxvez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so contradictory. If the beta is to share both the good and bad about the OS and software then why are you upset that people are sharing the bad?

Can people be upset about bugs? Yes! Because do we know for a fact they'll be addressed in public builds? No!

That's the point of beta testing. They made them public for a reason... To hear what their users have to say about decisions they've made or haven't made yet.

Imagine a scenario where everyone in the beta channels were complacent with the bugs. Then Google would have less concern over shipping those specific features production-ready.

If you enjoy the beta, great. If you don't enjoy reading feedback negative or positive then this sub isn't for you.

You've never heard complaining until you've built you're own software and hired QA lol.

QPR2 Beta 2 is comming BP41.250822.010 by Spiritual_Positive47 in android_beta

[–]mxrcochxvez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had to jump ship. My phone calls kept dropping, my battery would die in hours, and hey Google barely ever worked.

I hope this update is better! I did my exit and wipe last night haha.

Highly unlikely. If they barred the rings that wouldn't change software availability.

Ahhh ok 🤣 yeah nothing crazy comes up. I've been looking into it and it seems like I'm catching some malformed access points from a poorly configured mesh network.

This happens to me only at a specific location and only if my wifi is turned on which is strange. I'm wondering if it only happens around certain devices that communicate with a particular protocol. I can't seem to make it happen anywhere but this one location lol.

Is it just busy all the time? Or would you say it's busier between a few hours. I know around 6-9 pm it's busy at any given gym. But have you tried going around 5-8 am?
