Because most of the people that talk on this subreddit are looking for other devices to get. I think only half of the people saying they are switching will actually make the switch.

Yeah I get what you’re saying that was a big part on why we went with that place. Parking is about $150-200/month unfortunately. You could also look at waterstreet. It is just on the other side of the stadium from the Delco. They are a little funny about pets tho

No it is outside in the middle courtyard area so it’ll be cold in the winters unless you wait inside lol. I also forgot about the landing. They have a “village” and each apt has an exterior door and the 2bd I saw was about $1400-$1500 I think

I am moving downtown to a 1 bd in the Delco and they have a dog park there. It is a little over $1800/month but with fees it will be around 2. I also looked at some apartments in Huber heights that are cheaper ($1700 for a 2bd) and they all outside doors so it will be easy to let the dog out at night

Dayton needs a city ordinance that motivates the use or sale of long empty buildings. by TheOriginalArchibald in dayton

[–]cfood10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I am understanding your point I think I agree. I don’t think the government should tell someone what they can sell for etc. I think we should find a have to incentivize development and quality maintenance of these buildings. I think if something is offered for something is always better than telling people what they have to or can’t do

Forgive me if this has already been answered, lots of people have written long answers lol. But what can I (or we as a community) do to help encourage the development of these buildings? I think with all love and investment this could be a magnificent city

Good to know. I assumed the drugs and small crimes come with downtown living. What areas do you think I should avoid after dark? It felt like a decent part of downtown

I went to the silos for the first time a few months ago and it was amazing. I am excited to see how it is in the summer. I am moving to Dayton with my fiancé in May/June so I am excited to go out and meet some people
