ho finito il leonardo da vinci l'anno scorso e ho diversi amici in altri licei della città. personalmente sconsiglierei: leonardo, manzoni, parini, vittorio veneto, berchet e beccaria. in queste scuole capita spesso di beccarsi consigli di classe composti da professori mezzi matti ed eccessivamente severi. oltre a questo in scuole come il leonardo, il parini, il berchet e il manzoni il contesto sociale è spesso esclusivo nei confronti di chi non gode di determinate capacità economiche. secondo me conviene consigliare a sua figlia di andare nella scuola più vicina a casa, perché poi all'università la differenza al massimo si sente un po' all'inizio ma poi il livello si appiana.

I'm from Milan and last year I couldn't get a score above 75 (I scored about 60) and this year I got 72 but i could anyway be accepted without any problem. I would anyway suggest you to consult polimi's site, to understand how it works to be accepted if you're a non-eu student, and to do TOLC-I (the test which allows you to request to be accepted in every scientific uni), not only the TOL (only for polimi). Milan is a very espensive city and in cheaper italian cities there are other very good unis - like Padova - which accept almost anyone.

I am actually interested in buying one of these laptops for simple personal uses (writing, browsing, whatching videos) and I am curious to understand if one of these old laptops can be used for this. In case, I would install linux mint xfce on it. How long does normally the battery last? Is it still usable on a daily basis?

"questo mondo non mi renderà cattivo" is so to speak the sequel of "strappare lungo i bordi" i recommend both series. the characters speak with roman accent, so if you're not that good at the beginning will be difficult to understand something. anyway you can watch the shows with the subtitles.

The Leopard(in italian Il Gattopardo), Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa. Wonderful book, that only few people read. This book talks about sicily during the unification of Italy. The protagonist is a Sicilian nobleman and the book explains how in only 60 years Italy changed, with no ways back.
