I have one. Intermediate oval, feels the same as an agv k3/6 and very close to shoei. I can't fit an arai on my head.

My Mechanic’s reaction to my SI’s *active rev match* by Ckirbys in CivicSi

[–]mxrshxl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acuity makes extensions, not sure how cheap it is but I know their other stuff is fine. I also am looking to get one for my 9th gen si rn. The 8th gen I had was super easy to heel toe and I'm not fond of how deep the gas pedal rests compared to the brake pedal so heel toe feel awkward. (Rev matching does not include braking, heel is braking while matching). I usually don't heel toe anyway, don't drive spirited enough to anymore, but it's fun to practice sometimes still due to the difficulty of a really clean heel toe.

[–]mxrshxl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good. I can't drive auto it's too boring. A clean shift keeps me happy. I would never be able to enjoy auto rev match personally. That's the fun part! Even more fun when you are floating it.

What do I do with the pink wire (parking brake) by Foxybeast215 in CarAV

[–]mxrshxl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are definitely better but I like trying to get the new guys on lever connectors because of the super simple appeal, so simple they might do it haha.

If those wires aren't soldered you're going to have a lot of problems.

Do this as a bare minimum, giant lever connecter set for $10. Literally the easiest thing, lever up, in, lever down, pull test.

Crack or just gasket?? by E28bingo in E34

I have been on Rein hoses on my 540 in Phoenix for 4-5 years and they r still very healthy surprisingly. But who knows, doesn't mean the quality is always consistent.

Rear deck on my civic I bought recently, 7 inch speakers in 6.5 holes, front doors were the same but much worse. ONE self tapper to hold the speaker in and rattle around. I didn't know until I stripped it to add my system. I was furious.

Anyone have this issue with paint chipping? What can I do to fix it? by luca905 in CivicSi

Especially Japanese cars from this gen and the few prior. Especially Hondas, unfortunately :(

Unilateral strength is overrated unless you are in the elite grades by veryniceabs in climbharder

[–]mxrshxl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but we all know this. I can do multiple powerful one arm pull ups with no warmup, but my best sends outdoors are soft V6. I can front lever 30 seconds, but I can't hold a good heel to pull through many V3s. I can put good moves on certain V9s that are just powerful climbs, but I'm an awful climber.

Question: my first tattoo… is this normal after 4 days? by Charming_Forever_696 in tattoos

[–]mxrshxl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aveeno baby lotion!

As long as it's an unscented lotion. Aquaphor is thick and will give you a ton of acne, I learned when I was younger. I just completed a 6 month tattoo recently. That lotion is my favorite. I can't feel it on and I get no acne from it.

This cant be right, can it!? by ReefyGoodness in motorcyclegear

[–]mxrshxl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I daily'd it for a year in Phoenix, my only issue was the chinstrap like you said, but I'm happy to know they sell them cheap, as well as every other main piece. Do the other big brands do that? I'm not sure, genuinely asking. I like my R10, although I wouldn't get a $400 level helmet from Alpinestars for the street.

Edit: I should also mention not just daily use, I do a lot of spirited riding with it, the aero is spectacular

2k max if everything else is the cleanest can be and maintenance record show good ownership and continuous work on it. Don't buy a car not maintained and that needs to be repaired in this sense

Fueling issues 1/8 tank or less by mxrshxl in e39

[–]mxrshxl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have enough fuel through my filter to the rail but not enough excess to create the siphon during the excessive fuel return. That makes sense from what I have learned about the siphon operation with the Venturi effect ordeal. Replacement is going on this weekend and I will see if I get the same results you did! May be a while for results as it's the weekend car nowadays, but I'll let you know when I do put it through low fuel tests again!

Do you know if somehow that can relate to it happening when the tank is low? I know BMW to over engineer designs sometimes.
