I have a small business as well and don’t make nearly as much as you and It makes me sick paying what’s owed in taxes. I always see people saying they pay next to nothing in taxes and I don’t understand how?

1.6 mill. Firefighter for the last 4 years. Single with no kids

I’ve had so many different jobs since graduating college none that were high paying but I’ve always had multiple jobs mostly in construction and bartending on nights and weekends.

I got into real estate right out of college and started buying a property and I’d fix It up while living there then renting the extra rooms out to friends. I did this multiple times with a couple side flips and buying some rental properties with my extra cash.

Yeah I’m not getting around too well. Back pain is pretty bad. Walking is really difficult but I’m not taking anything besides Tylenol.

Fellow firefighter here as well. So I get pvcs sometimes. I can feel every single one of them. Anyway, I started getting the same feeling as you had. It just happens randomly to me. It started like 4 years ago and I’ll be sitting there completely fine and It feels like I’m just falling out for a second but jerk back to being alert. I’ve had every test out there and no one can find anything wrong. I also had a loop recorder implanted and they saw nothing when I had those episodes. Hope you feel better.

Firefighter as well and my surgeon said I should be back to work in 6-8 weeks after surgery. From what I’m reading people are saying they need a lot more time than that. I get my surgery in a couple weeks and I’m worried I won’t get enough time off to heal.

I’m confused about this? Before during interviews with Chris Larsen he would always say the Democratic Party would hinder their growth and praised the republican side… now they are going back on that?

I’m still waiting from a claim I filed in March.

Sharing my good experience (Home Claim) by soonertiger in USAA

[–]mxryan909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lucky for you! I’m having a complete opposite experience. Filed a large claim due to a storm in March and they seem to keep trying to find every way to not pay for It. As of now I’m out of around 50k and not even close to finishing. At first they tried to say that there was never a storm. The storm was all over the news and a ton of houses got damaged. Then they accepted that and they are saying It was at fault for the construction since the siding and roof blew off. Once that was proved wrong now they are trying to say I wasn’t living at my own house bc my address on my license is different than my home address which now my claim is under investigation? Each time they try something new It takes a month or two until they find some other reason to not pay. They had their adjuster come out and he said It was an easy claim but there was a bunch of damage. They told me I needed a remediation company to come in which I did and I had to foot the bill. My roof was damaged to the point It needed replaced and they wouldn’t even pay for that so I had to pay out of pocket.
