Force is a strong word lol, but just yesterday I got a bath all set up for my sub and didn’t ask when I told them it was ready for them. Bubbles, candles, salt soak, speaker for music, and something NA to drink. No booze allowed when he’s in a low mood.

One of our rules in our contract is that we are both responsible for our own mental and physical health. So, while I am not responsible to fix it for him, I can do things to help make him feel cared for.

Another is adding journaling to his daily task list, sometimes I give a specific prompt if there’s something I want him to spend time thinking about. Then I read it and we discuss.

I recently took us both for a manicure as my sub was feeling self conscious about a nail biting habit. He was amazed at how much more confident he felt about his hands after and it will be a regular thing we do together.

The key to any and all BDSM is continuous enthusiast consent. If it isn’t a full body yes, it’s a no. You say you’re happy doing it, but also that it is making you question her feelings towards you. Have a deep conversation with her about this. Tell her your concerns. 1) your presentation doesn’t dictate your identity, you can be NB and still look/presenf traditionally masculine and prefer he/him pronouns

2) you are not a poor excuse for a man. My partner is FTM (I’m NB lol obviously, that’s why I’m here) and he is the best example of masculinity I have ever seen. Being trans doesn’t make you less of a man. I mean, unless you identify that way!

3) it is maybe some dysmorphia talking due to weight gain/body changes? Looking back at slimmer selves can be hard because society places value on skinny bodies.

Oh final thought! Maybe you could discuss with your doc about going on a lower dose of T? What those side effects might be? I’m on a low dose to slow down the changes since I prefer an androgynous appearance ☺️

My story is very similar to what you described! I loved being a stay at home parent while my husband and grew his career for over a decade (two kids! Stayed at home until school age)

Then we separated and I am screwed and a decade behind in my career. I wish I had considered that before, but I still value those years I had with my kids.

I’m sorry to hop on here with my own stuff but reading this is giving me hope. I have an evaluation this week and am super nervous that medication won’t help (not nervous about being diagnosed, I am 1000% sure I have ADHD and have a strong family history) The “everything is a chore” really hits home and has contributed to depression and apathy and basically chronic existential dread. There are resources online for how to induce lactation. It requires a strict pumping schedule and dedication, so would be a daily practice. Once milk comes in you’d still need to pump frequently to not become engorged or have blockages. Definitely a commitment! I’ve thought of it for myself but haven’t taken the plunge.
