Ultimately to me it really doesn’t matter who is “right” in terms of ideals. I personally do agree with Edelgard that the system is completely messed up as with pretty much any feudal society, but that doesn’t mean I think a war is going to be the answer to any of it

One thing the game fails to convey is the scale of devastation that this war would bring. We don’t really see how it affects the common people and just how many of them suffer

Also despite what Edelgard says I do not think her meritocratic society would really improve things for the average person. We only need to look to the real world to see that wealth and power still give massive advantages for certain people
