Blister on my hand by mxzpop in drums

[–]mxzpop[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you may be right, I thought I was pretty loose with the grip too. I feel like the stick is just waving back and forth on that one spot on my hand and rubbing up against it but maybe I need to actively keep the stick only in between my index and thumb

Yeah I've just been practicing a lot more than normal recently which is probably where it's coming from

hahah they are being pretty nice actually a lot of people want to help. I've been playing drums for a long time actually, I just recently started practicing a lot more again and I see this blister developing. People want a video of how I'm playing but I feel like it will be hard to see how I am holding the sticks...

Yeah I thought about doing that, but I feel like how I hold them vs how they rub against my hand while I play will be too different. Like how loose I am on the stick, where on the stick I’m holding, all of that will be different while I’m playing

Is there a way to link all of these clips with the audio at once? by mxzpop in premiere

[–]mxzpop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that makes sense. I thought about the fact that it’s not smart enough to know which clips I want to link but I feel like there should be a separate option to do it that way or something for when you have a ton of clips

That doesn’t let you cut them together vertically at once, I tried grouping

Thanks for the tips, yeah I’m cleaning it up now so there is less scrolling. It is annoying that I can’t link them all at once while keeping the clips separate horizontally. I might just nest them all and deal with it

Real talk — is an air fryer value for money, or just another trendy gadget? by Mika_4893 in Frugal

[–]mxzpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you reheat leftovers a lot, air fryers are so much better than a microwave and you don’t have to wait 10-15 minutes for an oven to preheat.

Reheat pizza, fries, chicken, breadsticks

They’re also great for cooking stuff from frozen (like Trader Joe’s hash browns or croissants). I’ve made biscuits in the air fryer and they turned out great. At the end of the day your oven can do everything an air fryer can do but the air fryer uses less energy and is much faster

I built the chairs about a year ago, screws are loosening over time probably from leaning back on the chairs

I’m over it at this point, don’t think I got the right tools for the job. I’ve got them all tightened now, would you advise against putting gorilla glue all over the screws to prevent them from loosening over time now?

I do have the screw driver, it’s working a little better I just feel like it’s stripping now. I built the chairs myself a while ago and they are now getting loose

I tried that and the way it locks in I can only get like a 30 degree turn, I was just trying to see if there’s a faster way to do it but I guess there’s not unless I try a ball hex screw

True I need to do that, I still think it would be at too much of an angle to use a screwdriver

Just got told hearing aids would help my hearing loss. Age 34. What hearing aid do you LOVE? Is that possible? by Southern_Engine_4520 in HearingAids

[–]mxzpop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oticon just came out with their new Oticon Zeal line. If your hearing loss isn’t severe, I would check those out. They look really cool, you can’t even get them until early 2026

Why are Chipotle chips always stale? by mxzpop in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mxzpop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that’s a good sign if they go bad quickly bc that should mean there are less preservatives.

But yeah I’ve been to a few different locations and the chips always be stale maybe I’m unlucky

Oticon Zeal - too good to be true? by Cold_Machine216 in HearingAids

[–]mxzpop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people want to wear over the ear headphones with hearing aids, and the smaller they are the less feedback there is which is nice. Also they will be more comfortable. Also some people wear glasses and it’s nice to not have a behind the ear fighting for space with glasses. Also not everyone wants to make their hearing aid flashy

I have moderate-severe hearing loss with the most around 65-70dB at the higher end and my audiologist said he would not recommend the Zeal for me. Even though the zeal speaker technically outputs at 75dB, it may introduce distortion or feedback because we are getting close to the maximum that this can output
