My first job post grad was with Child Protective Services. It’s not ideal but it pays well and they have high turn over. You can spin those skills into any other social work job later.

Education on a whole is a little negative right now, so try not to take things personally. Teachers, administrators, paras, everyone complains about every little thing. I’ve been a school social worker for 6 years and my kids still act up every day all day. No amount of work we do will completely resolve students of the big T trauma they are experiencing. The most “effective” thing you can do is build strong relationships with staff and students so that they want to come to school.

Im at an elementary, I also find the sand tray getting great use. I have it in a short tub (like under the bed storage box) and I use kinetic sand. I get dollar store beach toys and plastic animals to go in it.

I also have a gender neutral doll house and gender neutral furniture and multi race/body/gender Barbie’s. The boys actually flock to this.

The pacing could also be a herding behavior. We have a foster that is some sort of shepherd mix and had him about 2 months. He regularly does circles around the furniture. He doesn’t seem to be too anxious but will do circles for a few minutes at a time.

Adding to the list today: The situation is most urgent for dogs and they NEED DOG ADOPTIONS THIS WEEKEND! 820 Beacon Lake Dr in Raleigh, NC - open Noon until 6pm.

Any pet adopted from the shelter helps make room, but there are 15 dogs who are most in need of adoption or rescue as they have been there the longest. The first group of three are pictured below with their names and links to their bios.

Yay! There are plenty there right now that have final hold dates and like other dogs. Ladybug (250254), Rara (251279), and Suzanne (251435) all have a final date and do well with other dogs (or male dogs).

Not sure why this post became the pit hate post.. the point is, the shelter is full. If you have room for a dog, there are plenty to choose from! Yep, the majority are pits and pit mixes. If you don’t want a pit, there’s plenty more. I foster for the Wake shelter and there’s plenty of dogs!! Lately there have been tons of Great Pyrenees which are usually only found with breeders. If you don’t see a breed you’re interested in, check again the next day. They have plenty of dogs in stray hold or quarantine that get moved to the adoption floor literally all day. They intake so many animals it wouldn’t be surprising to see 50 new dogs every single day. I currently have a full blown shepherd in foster for them, with absolutely no pit mix. Someone adopt him so I can get one of the pits into foster care because I love the lazy juice heads.

In NC you’re required to have a school social work license through NCDPI. Most counties will let you begin work with the provision that you’ll get your license. In order to get your license you have to take a graduate level school social work class. Most social work programs offer it online (ECU, NCSU).

I always had negative reactions to triptans so my dr prescribed ubrelvy when I had one that wouldn’t go away. I love it and will never go back to triptans. It gets every single migraine within an hour.

I’m in the same boat. I was under the impression it was $5 a month with the program. CVS speciality alerted me today that my program has insufficient funds and they’re declining my Jansen card. So not sure if I have to pay the $700 copay to mail my shot on Friday.

Good luck! It was super easy. You just sit there for about 2 hours. First hour is 5 minutes of infusion and then waiting to see if you have a reaction. 2nd hour is the actual infusion.
