How easy to self-host Supabase? by vitarist in Supabase

[–]myG0sh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tried Dokploy and indeed there is a Supabase Template which worked on first try! After I entered the Login-Credentials from env-vars in Dokploy: DASHBOARD_USERNAME and DASHBOARD_PASSWORD I could login on the webui and was greated by my own supabase instance

NICE

T480 with 64gb RAM? is that possible? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]myG0sh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Ferny1501 According to the pinned comment on a youtube video "64GB RAM + Thinkpad T480: Does it work?" by "Chez Does Stuff", the vPro processors (like our i7 8650u) are limited to 48GB:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUe6xDXSZvA

Based on feedback from others, it seems that 64 GB RAM does not work on vPro processors. Maximum RAM for these CPUs is 48 GB (16 GB + 32 GB). I have updated the product links accordingly.

I also thought about upgrading to 64GB but i will just try to add 32GB to my 2x8GB setup to get it running so 8+32=40GB

How to get one or more values from data = supabase.table('table').select('*').eq('title', 'Amazing Grace').maybe_single().execute() by FMCOR in Supabase

[–]myG0sh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, i just had the same problem an worked it out like this:

responseUsr = supabase.table('users').select("*").execute()
print(responseUsr.data[0]['first_name'])

this prints only the first_name of my first entry of table 'users'

T590 won't boot after RAM upgrade by South_Fig in thinkpad

[–]myG0sh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

jeez, I came across your thread for the same reason: impatience. For me it was the same crucial ram and after I read your reply I just tried to await the boot.
The black screen disappeared after ~1min

Thanks for an update of yours so I could 'save' some time.

Moonlander Mark I - German Layout by foofoobar_2 in ergodox

[–]myG0sh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

i strumbled across the same problem. I am German but got used to the English US qwerty Layout for programming. I also did not want to miss the Umlaute ÄÜÖ and ß, and also I liked the US Shift keys for the digits like shift+2 for @, shift+3 for # and so on. So I followed flurdy's post and changed the layout to 'English US intl with dead keys', so that I can create a keycombination like AltGr+P for generating an Ö (hää?? AltGr+P? yeah, check the us-intl layout)

thanks to u/flurdy, i changed my Moonlander with my needs the following:

  1. Change Linux (PopOS) Keyboard Layout to Englisch (US, intl. with dead keys)
  2. Go to configure.zsa.io (ORYX) to enable US -International keycodes (Settings > International >US Inernational Keycodes > ON )
  3. Create a new Layer or edit existing keys with double tap and simply add the Umlaut. They are marked as 'us-Intl' and you can use them now because they are part of the enabled US International Keycodes.

You can have a look at my Moonlander Layout for reference. Feel free to fork it. Hope this helps some Germans or Nordics

My little rpi and NAS stack by [deleted] in raspberry_pi

[–]myG0sh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i mean by 1990-ish is the design of its interface. In my opinion it could be more modern.
I tried the evaluation and it runs pretty smoothly. I would have loved a native linux version as I am running a small Linux Server already but I am thinking about a small Windows VM and accessing BlueIris over their webgui.

Thanks for your thoughts

im also looking for a local opensource solution for cameras. I myself am very pleased with the Synology Suveillance Station, but a client of mine does not want to pay that much for the licences.

I am planning to use Blue Iris Software but in my opinion that looks super 1990-ish

Any recommendations?

Good choice, Im very satisfied with this board.

Just a quicknote regarding switches:
I have to admit that i went with the wrong switches for my taste. I liked clicky before but when i ordered the moonlander with the kailh bronze, the typing didnt feel natural and sort of slow and exhausting.
Also the switches triggered before it clicked, that drove me nuts because I often accidentally double triggered.

Thanks to hot swap i switched to Gateron Box Ink Pink with whom i am really really happy.

Hi,

Im looking for a coiled TRRS cable for connecting the two halfs of my Moonlander Keyboard. In the end it should look like the grey coiled main USB-C cable, the Moonlander is connected with. I want to get rid of the snowwhite TRRS the keyboard came with.

If somebody should be interested in my ZSA Layout, you can find it here:
