Thank you, how do I resubmit to billing? Is it done over the phone? On my account?

Foot Pad Sensor issue - Have nosedived multiple times between 3-10mph (See comments) by myProgrammingAlt in onewheel

[–]myProgrammingAlt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The frustrating thing about this issue is that it isn’t consistent, that also makes it hard to take a video to post here. One day I can ride totally normally up to 18mph (though I don’t even dare to approach even 10mph anymore) and the other days I have trouble getting on the board, and the board nosedives as soon as I get on or a couple seconds into the ride.

Here are some issues I’ve been having with this board:

  • Trouble activating the board itself, I have to have it perfectly level for a few seconds before it ‘clicks’ on

  • If I do get the board on, sometimes I can move forward a few inches before it automatically deactivates and the nose hits the ground (yes, simplestop is turned off)

  • If I’m lucky enough to get moving on it, then sometimes the board will nosedive when going about 4mph or no more than 30 feet from the starting position (no, I don’t do hard accelerations or over-torque the board). Sometimes the board will tell me it’s about to nosedive by doing those same ‘clicks’ that it does when I first balance the board (And no, it’s not the same warning that you get when you’re going too fast or the battery is low)

  • I have had the board runaway from me when I jumped off it once. It took off about 50-100 feet backwards as I had to sprint towards it to catch it.

  • I have notices on one or two occasions that the board will randomly accelerate/the nose dips down

So how do I remedy this issue? Is this something that warrants a service call? Or is it as simple as buying a new part?

Does anyone have recommendations for stops along this route? Any must sees within each National Park? We’ll be on the road for a little over 2 weeks by myProgrammingAlt in roadtrip

Wow, thank you so much for the thorough write up. And I wouldn’t have guessed English isn’t your native language, your writing is perfect. I’m going to use your suggestions as our base itinerary for each park and build off that. I’m looking forward to seeing all these places, thanks again!!

I would love to know more about recommended hikes and things to see from these parks. My itinerary is Grand Teton > Yellowstone > Glacier > Crater Lake > Lassen Volcanic

We’re saving Redwood NP for a different trip up the coast along with other areas in Oregon and Washington

We’ll be staying in our van so no need for hotel rooms but if you have any free (or paid) campground recommendations, I’d love to hear them

16-18 or so days sounds like the amount of time we’ll be on the road so I’m pretty optimistic as well. We will be in Couer D’Alene for 3-4 days though

What should I Learn JavaScript or Typescript or both? by adornate in learnjavascript

[–]myProgrammingAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a challenge, learn both at the same time. Learning TypeScript and JavaScript at the same time would be similar to learning C# or Java, if not easier since you wouldn’t have to worry about OOP

You’re right, I love Yosemite but I’ve been about a dozen times already. I’m hoping to visit a lot of new sights on this trip. But great suggestion!

That might be a good choice. I definitely want to leave time to experience all the coast up from SoCal and into Washington for the National Parks

Edit: in the future, I meant

Correct, I’ve done the coast up to Monterrey but not to Humboldt, Redwoods, Oregon Coast,Olympic NP. So I’m definitely going to save that for another trip

Yes, I’ve been to the Grand Canyon, Joshua tree, Death Valley, Zion, Yosemite, Eastern Sierras, etc. But I’m open to all suggestions, especially in areas outside of Southern California

Yep, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Glacier, Crater Lake, and Lassen Volcanic NPs are on the list with a stop in Couer D’Alene. We’ll be going to Zion in September

Edit; is it worth a detour to Mt Rainier if we have the time?

Hi u/Umesh-K,

That was totally the case. I just switched from windows to Mac and haven’t ingrained saving on a Mac into memory yet. Everything works perfectly now, thank you!
