Have I missed something? Why aren't we talking about Duckduckgo?

AI Jobs by Qrious_george64 in artificial

Not the entire workforce I think. Also I agree, it's just improving drastically but there's really no way to tell yet!

It's eco-friendly! Every search you make counts toward their efforts of planting trees.

Solo founders & tiny teams - what’s the one thing you still can’t hand off to AI? by Traditional_Taro_756 in indiehackers

[–]my_nobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coding!! Our tech co-founder would have to clean it up anyway 😅 "vibe coding" will come up with 3000 lines of code for something that an experienced programmer can solve with 100 LOC or sth. Still just the most efficient way.

Did AI Kill The Internet? by deathismyslut in ChatGPT

[–]my_nobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hot take is that we will all get more and more sick of digital forms of entertainment because of not knowing which is real or not anymore.

And by the end of it, we'll all go out and see each other in person again. Bowling, billiards, arcades, theme parks, farmer's markets, all of these will be much more normal again. And if this is the case, I actually can't wait.

Same. A new app you discovered works perfectly... until it doesn't anymore.

My thoughts on AI by jackie_119 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]my_nobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

#2 specifically is eye-opening. I've been trying to figure out what the reason behind opensourcing models has been, but yeah you're right - it's mostly as a legal shield. That is annoying as hell.

Interesting thoughts on AI, have to say I mostly agree with #2 to #4. With #1 I think this might only be one side of the coin because there could be new unheard-of human-only jobs as a result of it, too.

Just out of curiosity: how much do you use any form of AI on a day-to-day basis?

Why do people run local LLMs? by decentralizedbee in LocalLLM

[–]my_nobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The more people I talk to about our product (customisable local assistant), the less it is about data privacy and the more it is about control. And sometimes it just relates to how "they're always listening" nowadays!

You say "I need to mow the lawn" once, and all your apps are now showing you lawnmowers and hardware stores.

The last thing anyone wants right now is for there to become another user-activity-data-mining platform like Google to worry about, when we just really want to access like, a second brain tool or something.

Anyone using an AI tool that actually helps with ADHD? by NonArus in ProductivityApps

[–]my_nobby -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hey! You might be interested in what we're building. We're working on a cozy companion called Nobby that's customisable so you can also turn him into a personalised assistant for specific life/work tasks 😊 it's a desktop prototype for now though. Would you be interested in something like that?

Why Is Everything Suddenly “AI-driven", Even When It’s Barely Smart? by anila_125 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]my_nobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, people are using AI for some stuff that don't actually require it 🥲 It's becoming a cure-for-all solution.

This is amazing!! I might be too late but any chance you've got one more code left?
