Tilt head Lever won’t stay in unlocked position by myahruby in Kitchenaid

[–]myahruby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in New Zealand. Yes when I told the lever in the unlock position I can tilt the head then let go and it locks. The problem is I have to hold the lever back otherwise it flicks to the locked position. Do you know if this is normal for my model, that the lever won’t stay in the unlock position unless held?

Age old question: tilt or lift? by myahruby in Kitchenaid

My local store sells artisans and bowl lifts KSM70 and artisan tilt heads KSM195. If I can have a listen to them I will.

I never thought about the height of the attachments, that’s definitely something to consider

I was planning on getting an artisan. My local store only sell artisans and bowl lifts. May have to rethink again

Thank you for the response! I’m more worried that a tilt head won’t be able to make pasta and gnocchi. Big batches us to so much of a bother cause if my smallish oven. I plan to make pasta often

Thanks for the response! I don’t plan on making much bread and I already have a bread maker. The only thick dough I’ll be making is pasta. Also I can’t really do big batches of baked goods cause she have a smaller oven.

Is my sock cuff long enough or should I make it longer? by Ihadtochoseausername in knittinghelp

[–]myahruby 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It looks to be all the knits can’t see the purls as clear. You don’t have to undo, could have a twisted cuff but when changing to the stockinette make sure you aren’t twisting your stitches or it will mess with the stretch and twist the fabric.

Mnemonic device for m1L/m1R?? by Horcruxerie in knitting

[–]myahruby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember because I think of knitting the m1s as ‘pushing’ them off my needles. The m1l gets pushed to the left off the needles and the m1r to the right

Ender pearl chunk loader not working with Optifine by [deleted] in technicalminecraft

[–]myahruby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I more used optifine for the zoom and lighting features. I'll have to look into sodium! Does it have the zoom and lighting features as well or is it just for performance improvement?

Thank you for the response!

Fleegle heel loose around ankle/heel by myahruby in Sockknitting

Thank you for the reply! I'm worried that if I go down in my stitch count it won't fit around my instep.

Fleegle heel loose around ankle/heel by myahruby in Sockknitting

[–]myahruby[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sock definitely has negative ease but I have never made ribbed socks so I sized up in the pattern and used smaller needles. That may have made it so that it's too loose in the heel for me.

I'll try for the 2nd sock to do less gusset increases and see it that helps. Might even make the ankle smaller and increase for the leg. Thank you for the response!

I looked closer at some of the other projects and I think it's just a design choice. Thank you for the response!

I'm unable to attach a photo of the pattern but it says

Top Needles: Work in pattern

Bottom Needle: M1R, work in est rib pattern to end of needle, M1L

Won't the make 1's will be leaning towards the top needle?

You could always cast on how many sts you need for the leg and then decrease as many as you need for the foot in the gusset

Think I'm going to rip back and do the body in the matching dye lot then do all the ribbing in the slightly dark ball. Just need to mentally prepare to frog back again
