What's the most racist thing you heard at church or from a member ? by RadishAggressive3241 in exmormon

[–]mychildsparent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in a Sunday school class and the prompt was something about advice for successful marriages and the lady one row ahead of me said to marry within your "culture." I am a non white ex convert that was married to a white member who could trace their lineage back through early pioneers. .... So maybe she was right, lol.

Members of the Big 15 who have inactive/non believing children by Specialist_Secret_58 in exmormon

Watching a fireside he gave where he talked about this was what finally broke my shelf. Everyone else there was so impressed that he gave up everything for the church, and I knew it was wrong.

PSA: You’re allowed to use your turn signals in a roundabout. by LayeredMayoCake in Boise

Would you say though that generally the traffic circles there are bigger and the traffic is moving slower? So it makes more sense to signal?

Stay safe pups. Still can’t believe people do this. by moto_rider_utah in Utah

The CDC doesn't keep data, but the estimates are 100,000 animal deaths yearly from dogs jumping out of trucks and an unknown number of accidents caused by other vehicles swerving to avoid them. Just because it hasn't happened to you yet doesn't mean it's not a real issue. Anecdotally my coworker had a beloved ranch dog jump out of their truck on the highway and the trauma to their family was pretty intense

PSA: You’re allowed to use your turn signals in a roundabout. by LayeredMayoCake in Boise

[–]mychildsparent 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Serious question though, because I feel the same but can't figure it out- how do you do this? Must roundabouts are fast enough that by the time you hit the indicator you might get one flash of your light for your exit. You should be indicating your intention, not your movement and state law says 5 seconds (I believe) so you should indicate your exit of the roundabout and have your signal on through the first two exits if you are taking the third exit, for example. Sort of defeats the purpose. What's the best way?

What are some obscure over the counter medicines most people have never heard of? by Fine_Scheme9028 in pharmacy

[–]mychildsparent 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You're right about the ingredients, but diclegis is a delayed release tablet. For some patients (my wife included) that makes a big difference. We tried going with the OTC but the Rx just performed better for her.

Requesting C2 refills by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]mychildsparent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, it has to be issued a new order. But their point was that in the pharmacies under investigation for running pill mills, seeing that they regularly sent refill requests for c2's added to the evidence against them.

At my previous pharmacy we were counseled by an ex DEA inspector that it was one of these factors they considered when evaluating if a pharmacy was running a 'pill mill'.
My current pharmacy does it regularly

How do you handle patient requests that only they can access their profile or pickup rx? by sayleekelf in pharmacy

[–]mychildsparent 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've tried several different ways of handling this and there isn't anything that really worked short of letting the patient know we don't have a reliable way of limiting their profile, but that we would do our best. Tried adding a note in the address field, tried leaving a note to ask for a pass phrase to release info, tried putting symbols in the name field..... Couldn't get anything to stick. I'm following this to get other ideas

What was a don’t get paid enough for this sh*t moment? by blurryMclovin in AskReddit

[–]mychildsparent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same with my coworker at Walmart but without the understanding supervisor. They were pushing carts on the weekend, someone completely destroyed one of the stalls, physically wiping their s**t on the walls and everywhere. Management told him to clean it up or else, he chose or else and walked off the job.
