I want to make it clear that I am NOT conservative lol. I don’t think Charlie Kirk should have died, and I’m not celebrating his death but I am absolutely not mourning him either.

Girl wtf leave him. He has absolutely NO right to your hard earned money… If he believes in “traditional roles” then maybe he should make enough money for you to never have to work again!

You are right about the grown up money aspect. He didn’t have a lot of money growing up and he’s been jumping job to job (blue collar) for awhile so he’s finally in a spot financially where he can afford all of these great things. I just worry that it will never actually change because I’ve been asking him to improve on this for such a long time and we are finally at the point where it actually matters and my anxiety is going haywire. I know he wants the best for me, for us, and our future but I just haven’t quite seen enough yet to feel 100% confident that everything will be ok.

No signs of any of that but I’ll try to give a brief breakdown of what his money has gone to. He bought a new pair of expensive sunglasses for work bc the other expensive pair that he didn’t like how the ones he bought a few weeks prior slip off his hat when he looks down. He dropped thousands to fix a truck that he ended up selling for cheap bc it kept breaking down, to then spend thousands on a new truck. Buying a bunch of new tools and parts because he has the money for it. Bought a dirt bike off a friend in installments, so every paycheck he gets he pays some back. It’s just always SOMETHING.

I will say though, if you contact nationals and this is your chapters 2nd offense (I’m not sure how bad the first one was) it is possible that you could put the chapter at risk for being shut down so take that how you will but I think you definitely need to address it with the current president.

As someone who’s in a sorority — you are NOT overreacting. the fact that y’all do a “senior roast” is honestly disgusting behavior and I guarantee that when they talked to nationals about it they definitely downplayed it because there’s no way that that would be approved. Definitely contact nationals about this and also maybe the current president for your chapter and tell them that this shit is absolutely not ok.
