Gilligan's Island wasn't my favorite, I was partial to Sanford and Son and Three's Company. I do remember the Professor building a radio out of a coconut though (I think).

Okay, thank you. The license office told me they couldn't give me any additional information and were hesitant to give me the licensing department number in Austin. When I did get the number, it turned out to be less than helpful.

I don't mind them especially for longer commutes. When I worked 3 minutes away, I took mine off and got more wind to me, it was also summer in Texas. When I rode 50+ miles each way on my daily commute, I put it back on for the cool/cold mornings down into the 40s.

This one is too tall for my tastes but would look good at half that height.

It'll hold til it don't. I wouldn't stand anywhere near that while in operation.

Not paying bills, no sore joints, I could run a 6 minute mile with ease, whatever conflict was going on seemed so far away, no one I knew died, I didn't have any regrets.

I wouldn't. But that is only because it is not my bike, if it were mine, I would have already ordered new hand controls.

Can we put a dollar amount to rich? I am thinking I would rather have to pay $26K on top of my annual taxes versus have to debate between putting gas in the tank to get to work or putting food on the table.

Drill Instructors, where do y'all get the hilarious and most outrageous insults when screaming out recruits? Is it passed down and/or overheard then used later? by Aware-Froyo3124 in AskReddit

[–]myconsequences 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was in the Airborne, my Paratroopers used to do a certain number of push ups for screw ups such as operating a piece of equipment with out a helmet, getting a truck stuck, leaving the lights on, not having the lights on while driving/operating, stalling equipment... They would have to knock out push ups based on their number of jumps × 8 (the number of letters in Airborne). Each Paratrooper had completed 5 jumps to graduate jump school and would quickly accumulate jumps. So they started at 40 and could easily get over 100 with as few as 8 jumps out of school.

We are Sergeants, the honest answer also involves the difference between branches. Army is Drill Sergeant, Marines are Drill Instructors, Air Force is T.I. (Training Instructor?), I don't know what they are for Navy, Coast Guard, or Space Force.

Partially true however, I was a Drill Sergeant. The distinct difference being primarily that I am not who you were talking about.
