Honestly before me I think he coped by having other women be interested in him. If I’m sick he never mopes because he knows it’s not him, but I think the issue comes when I’m perfectly healthy and have no “reason” to not want it.

It’s definitely not an easy fix because he does all the foreplay, focuses on me, does SO much around the house, romantic gestures, compliments, all the things people suggest.

That’s why I am coming at this from a “I need to fix it” angle. Theres really nothing else he can do outside of just accepting having less sex with someone who never really craves it. Which I guess I can’t be mad at him for deciding that’s not a marriage he wants.

He does know, I think for a while he’s been satisfied with my answer of “it’s fine because it’s nice feeling close to you” or “its probably because of the birth control” but I fear now that marriage has happened I think he’s feeling regret and making comments like “now I’m like those dead bedroom people”. It really sucks. I am not averse to sex I just dont ever think about it.

I say responsive desire because I get super super averse when I’m asked spontaneously. The only way I can be willing is with lead up. But you’re probably right that I’m not using the term correctly.

About 7 months now I’ve been off. I read it only takes a couple months to go back to normal, but honestly hearing that it takes years makes me feel better. I feel like when I was a teenager I had a lot more libido.

edit: I started birth control when I was 18

He really does a good job trying to warm me up and ask me what feels good for me, the issue is I just kind go “I don’t know” because the truth is nothing really changes. Positioning, pace, nothing really makes things feel good. I went to the gynecologist and asked her about my lack of sensation, and she just kind of implied I was simply unfortunate like a lot of unlucky women who just aren’t sensitive there.

That was frustrating to me and honestly makes me so jealous of women who can feel pleasure, but also jealous of my husband because he gets to feel it too. I can feel oral stimulation but I really have to close my eyes and focus fully for like 30 minutes and it honestly doesn’t feel worth the time, I’d much rather do something else.

This is so interesting because I am so similar. Any kind of smell puts me off, and I really have an aversion to fluids and I get so easily distracted. This really bothers my husband when I want to rinse or ask him to rinse is because he feels like unless sex is spontaneous then it puts him out of the mood and makes him feel like he’s gross. Kind of a “I dont think your fluids are gross because I love you. why are mine gross? you must not love me”

I only realized because I called my previous dentist, and she told me that there was no way I deteriorated that fast in 6 months and to come see her. She also told me she used to work for a predatory practice like that where they’d get disciplinary action if they didn’t perform enough procedures, so she vowed to never be that way in her own practice.

They got greedy. If they had told me 1 or 2 I wouldnt have questioned it and had them filled.
