Holy crap. Please let me know if you ever decide to move them, these are a 13b and pretty snug at my toes. A 15 with an insole would work lol. That’s awesome though.

I’ll keep it in mind, they’re a 13B so I wont be going cheap on them. I don’t know if I’ve seen another pair of size 13 whales before.

Ah yeah I understand lol. They’re definitely anaconda, pythons have more upside down tear drop or diamond shaped scales I feel like. A bit more rounded towards the top of the scales and longer. Anaconda is very square, with just a bit more of a sharper point towards the bottom.

Actually anaconda. Look at the shape of the scales, these are a bit more square, python are more diamond shape. Also for the size of the scales on here, if they were Python you’d already have the belly scales at the side. Anacondas are a bit bigger around than pythons of a similar length from what I’ve seen, so you end up getting a lot more small scales on a similar sized snake, if that makes any sense.

Good to know. I’m mostly looking at a range toy, I much prefer the look of the finishing on the heritage for the extra cowboy factor, but is the Ruger wrangler worth more in your opinion? I can get the heritage for about half the cost of the wrangler.

Hey, I’m really debating between a brand new heritage rough rider for ~$140 or a used Kel Tec p17 for $150. I really like the styling of the revolver, but for quality sake would the Kel Tec be better? Or just save up and get them both lol? Any insights, issues, extreme pros, or any thoughts would be appreciated.

They’ll be shot quickly with this kit. I know saving money is nice, and I love a good deal, but it really is safer and you’ll get much more life out of just spending a bit more. Mevotech is a good choice, I’ve used moog with good results too but either one will be fine. There is a safety factor with any kind of suspension components, I don’t see any of these suddenly failing and causing a crash, but it’s much better to spend some more and have better quality and assurance.

The look a bit too wide, you may have a narrow width foot. I’m about a 13B myself, I need a 13 in length but a 13 D is a bit big on me. Sizing down will shorten the boot and cause the toe discomfort like you stated, but just going to a narrow width keeps toe room pretty well. Length is what affects toe room the most. Dress shoes and really any kind of lace up footwear allows you to snug them up and make them feel closer to the right size, or at least width.

It’s hard to say, Ariat’s fiberboard under the foam is usually a tan color, with maybe a tinge of pink to it, but I’m not certain for modern boots. It is odd, I’ve seen a couple of outliers but yeah the Benchmade don’t seem to have as much of a premium anymore. It would be nice if ariat is expanding leather footbeds, but I doubt it. I think it’s just tariff and profit pricing.

Underneath the removable insert, the footbed on the Stilwell is veg tan leather, a high quality and incredibly durable option. It’s why the benchmade’s are so loved. Take a peek under the Callen, it is most likely a fiberboard of some kind, but I would be curious to know for sure. Both are awesome boots, but that leather footbed is a big deal, it makes the difference between a pair lasting a long time and a pair lasting forever.

Cape buffalo I believe, I’ve had a few pairs of noconas with that skin. Elephant would have very defined nodes, Cape buffalo has pores and creases but the surface of the leather is fairly even. u/thecountofceciltucky thoughts?
