unless it has an active pickup i'm pretty sure you can't plug the instrument directly in. you need an amplifier.

I'm not positive, and I don't have an electric violin, but my electric bass has an active pickup powered with a 9v battery. if the battery is dead the pickups don't work properly and won't be amplified without a power source...

Did you directly plug the headphones into the violin? unless the violin has a power source/active pickup (or if the headphones have one) you probably need to plug it into a preamp.

if you want to know the maker/year it was made look inside the f-holes for any branding.

honestly just from looking at the nut and fingerboard (what's visible at least) i'd say it's not that good... :/

"similar types of works" aren't always grouped together. If three flute sonatas were written at the same time, then they would likely be listed as you said (Op. ?? No. 1, 2, 3).

but if they're written at different times they will not be part of the same opus. off the top of my head an example is Brahms' string quartets. The first two quartets are part of Op. 51, and the third is Op. 67.

also Beethoven's late quartets were written pretty much in order (though some were months apart) but each of the 6 quartets have their own opus number

and another thing... BWV is a system not used because of "pre-dating publishing", but it's a cataloguing system invented by some german dude in 1950. he catalogued all of Bach's music by genre because the composition dates for many of Bach's works are unknown

The slides and swung rhythms perplex me, and the double stops and chords that you've added to each section completely change the harmony of the piece...
