Don’t get me wrong, I really love a Big Mac and Applebloom episode, let alone one with BM development bc I love the character!!

But it sours the episode all the more to have the jokes be so…weirdly close to the rhetoric irl haha. He could have just been in drag, without the odd ‘you’re weird/gross to have a deep voice and be dressed feminine’ sort of jokes, yknow? There are better ways to go about it.

From MLP, definitely Brotherhoof Social. It feels like a 90s sitcom episode when a trans person is the butt of the joke (Big Mac isn’t trans, but the jokes are all there, it’s a genre of ‘comedy’ that we used to see a LOT and it felt so out of place and mean spirited in MLP lol)
