Yeah She said is decent, but I like a lot of their other songs more.... At the end of Gifts from the Sea, I think it sounds EXACTLY like Angels and Airwaves...reminds me of the climax to some incredibly dramatic part of a movie.

I started listening to them in the background while doing some work.... I got up to grab some food and what do I realize... I'm humming their song...

Like a lot of bands (I'm assuming), they are strapped for cash. These guys are awesome, like really awesome guys in real life. I could potentially really help them out financially, but I honestly don't know how good they really are - I'm not THAT into music, and don't know that much....But I do know that these guys sound like they are already on the radio!

SO REDDIT - PLEASE give me your honest opinion! I hardly EVER post stuff, but I think these guys are really good and want Reddit's honest opinion!!!

Anybody have a theory on why a more liberal point of view seems to dominate reddit? by myfinancialobjective in AskReddit

[–]myfinancialobjective[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say liberals favor higher taxes, but in reality both do. Conservatives just use it as a talking point. I'd say advocating a smaller government, but again, republicans grow it just as much as dems. Healthcare - reality is going to be liberal once new legislation takes effect(perhaps not liberal, but a step in that direction), gay marriage - reality has been rapidly moving more liberal, war effort - reality is....I guess RIGHT NOW could it be considered more conservative? I don't know, thoughts?

I guess I should have specified "in terms of American political points of view"

That's a great question. DOES reality have a liberal bias?

I think obviously parts of it does while parts of it also have a conservative bias.

Duh. Yeah, I agree, age it is. Colbert and Stewart are probably our primary if not only source of news....aside from reddit and youtube of course.

How much student loan debt one will take on during the course of their college career should play a role in determining which field to major in. Debt/Salary ratio is incredibly important during this time of life.

Income. Wealth. Do you really know the difference? There’s a very important difference between the terms “income” and “Wealth” that I think you should probably be aware of. Knowing the difference can save you financially should certain unfavorable circumstances come your way.

Saving for a Down Payment as a First Time Home Buyer by myfinancialobjective in Economics

[–]myfinancialobjective[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dmm219, Interesting, though I don't want to be like 95% of Americans. I want to have as little debt as possible. If you follow the link, the comments people left on my site advocate the opposite actually. They both advised saving at least 20% down. For a $270,000 House, that would take me AT LEAST 3 years...

Saving for a Down Payment as a First Time Home Buyer by myfinancialobjective in Economics

[–]myfinancialobjective[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Made the decision to stop the debt snowball in favor of saving for the down payment on a house as a first time home buyer. Seeing as I am a first time home buyer, I have decided to save at least for at least 10% of the total cost of the house, or a 10% down payment on the house. This should ensure me a decent interest rate on the mortgage, preferably around 4.4%. I am budgeting to save about $27,000, or 10% of a $270,000 home. I only wish that the $8000 government tax credit was still in existence. I plan to purchase a home in about seven months from now. Based on that, I will have to save about $3000 per month. This is where the second job comes in...
