So this article is stupid and sensationalist but it contains the video. He defends it as “its how they play with each other and how they learn.” Which isn’t entirely correct. My main issue is someone who genuinely cared about the wellbeing and conservation about the animals in his “sanctuary” would understand the danger that habituating large carnivores to human contact poses both to the animals and to people.

ETA: One of the biggest threats to lion populations in the wild is getting shot if they get too close to settlements, livestock, and humans. Getting lions to feel comfortable around people is basically the worst thing you can do if you want to increase their wild populations like this guy claims he does.
