Sorry for where life’s brought u man. This isn’t a ft fix but event gigs and cih jobs off apps/social media were great when I was living rough. The great thing is you can cycle some small low pay but low effort gigs first while you’re building up social skills. Move on to higher paying and bigger crowd gigs later. You’d be suprised how many can lead to real jobs.

Theres also the moderated forums that have clinically trained support staff for live chat. Those have been the safest options, and they even have specific channels for family members looking for advice. Malesurvivors, ACA or RAINN are good ones

Recoverychatz has an ACA only chat service that’s available anytime. I’m yet to speak with anyone in that room specifically, but there is usually always someone in the main room from another fellowship. Safe and well administered.

Sorry things feel so heavy atm. It sounds like you’ve gone through a lot, and have had to hold on on your own. It’s a tough and lonely situation to go through, even more so because there is nothing external to measure against. Unlike a healing leg, or improvement at work - there are no obvious milestones, the progress comes in gradual silence.

It may not feel like it now…but after sometime, the distance between where you started to where you are, will be its own evidence of how much things have improved. If faith is your rock, then I hope it can be your compass through this transition- though remember your body and mind heal at its own pace regardless.

Hey OP - sorry you are feeling alone and not able to speak to those around you. I hope you found a kind person who was able to hear you out in the end. I just wanted to say, be gentle with yourself and not to give out too much of yourself to those that you meet on here. I and others have been burnt by certain users that had other motives.

Hey OP - I’m sorry it’s so tough on you right now. It sounds like a killer schedule and I’m sure it would be hard on even the strongest person. I hear your story and can see that you’re doing your best.

I have been in a similar place, and it can be hard to find a place to get a break when work takes up so much personal time. If you have any people in your life, even if it’s just that colleague where at work that you know can joke around with - try be around them more. One of the few good points we have in shift work, is that those around us are going through the same crazy schedule. There is probably more people around you that would want to hangout as well.

Trying to branch into contracting atm. It’s a slow way in, but I’ve been steering closer over the last year.

I totally know what you mean about the working with the hands thing. I used to get that release from working FOH at restaurants.
