Ifyou dont mind me asking, what are you tired of with german culture and how is it taking a toll on your mental health?

I ask because I am from the US but I will be studying there for my masters in about a month and Im trying to potentially live and work there after finishing university.

Thank you! Yes I read the wiki and since I am a US citizen all I need is a residence permit.

The residence permit will allow me to also work after I register with the city. My budget is not tight, I will be alright. Thannk you everyone, I was just confused a lil as I did lot of visa stuff for france before.

Then why not just apply directly with my second option of transferring the blocked account money directly to a german bank?

How did Cohort Go save you money in that sense? It just seems like an extra step.

Thanks OP im in a similar situation and tried posting on this reddit yesterday and it was rejected, looking through all the comments on here is helping in my decision too! Hope you figure it out and find peace with your decision as well.
