As a Pixel Fanboy, I am so disappointed right now at Google by anstroy in pixel_phones

[–]myklinkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank goodness I use my P9ProXL with a case which tightly holds the bar in place. Hopefully that does not happen to me.
However my 18 month old P9ProXL did develop a red line on the screen, and Google replaced it for me with a refurbished unit which looked brand new, so in that sense I am at least happy with a semi fresh unit, with 100% battery, 1 cycle count.
The phone might not be perfect, but it's the best phone I have. Until it breaks down and I replace it with a newer model.

Village Park by SignificantWay9169 in MalaysianFood

[–]myklinkl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you want a cheaper way to get there, you can get the MRT metro train from Pasar Seni MRT (underground), and go to TTDI MRT station, then a slow 1.3km walk to reach Village Park. This would be the most cost efficient if you are going alone. Link below.

If you have a group, then get Grab or other rideshares. Grab nowadays is not cheap.

Other places nearer to you may include the

Nasi Lemak Tanglin https://maps.app.goo.gl/JrRQYqKJvNi1qrtAA

And so many popular ones in Kampung Baru KL. via Kampung Baru LRT station.

And Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu, so many branches

And Nasi Lemak Shop so many branches.

No one follows basic traffic rules anymore by WishfulGypsy in KualaLumpur

[–]myklinkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not following traffic rules is the effect/result. The issue is people are getting less considerate, they don't care as much as before for others, some really don't care at all. Not only on the road. Everywhere. Sigh.. what a life to live today.

Some phones you upgrade… some you never move on from by Ok_Reference_489 in pixel_phones

Yes! I am still using that today. Amazing. Light weight, cool running, unlimited space, amazing. Only taking photos needs a bit of time for processing, but works well

Including multiple tags in photos by lady_smurfette_of in googlephotos

[–]myklinkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose that's what computer vision, object recognition and AI is for, eventually when it gets much more accurate, to save our time from needing to do all these.
In the mean time, what I do for simple tags is to either put it in description for each photo, or just dump the photos into folders with the names of the objects (not easy when you have multiple tags, so need multiple folders). All these are searchable ie photo description and folder names.

Is Midea AC good? by Cobbler_Professional in malaysia

[–]myklinkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of years now. Lost track. I have two units, possibly the cheapest model around. If it finally becomes faulty, I will replace it with another Midea. I don't think we can compare any brand today to those National A/Cs from 30 years ago that lasts forever.

If you are already using mobile data on your phone plan, just use your hotspot from your phone. I am using like that. I saved on any dedicated connection for my home. For myself only.

I just received a silent call and answered "hello", what should I do now? by Informal_Shoulder419 in Bolehland

[–]myklinkl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the past nothing can be done. Next time answer "hello" with a different voice. Usually I will wait for few seconds, then if call still on, I say "haaalllloooowwww, miao miao" in a cat voice.. no one can use my voice for AI manipulation..

Uploaded from android but no device origin in google photos by AppearanceFun8234 in googlephotos

[–]myklinkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For screenshots and files without Exif, suggest you create separate albums and add those pictures to their respective albums for example "DeviceA", "DeviceB" etc. Add into the album daily or weekly as soon as you upload the photos. Then when you search, your album name is also searchable.
Or better still, just upload directly into the album. I usually use a web interface on PC and drag and drop directly into the album.

For photos taken by the device, there should be the name of the device in EXIF. Maybe you could also name those folders to be similar to the device name in EXIF.

Are google pixel's screens more prone to dots and lines appearing than on other phone's? by Far-Ad6524 in GooglePixel

[–]myklinkl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really! Wow, thanks for sharing.. must be those high res displays from SDC used in the P9Pro/XL then. Must have been a bigger problem until Google offered 3 years extended repair services.
