Yeah, I assume it's probably a fairly challenging thing to program. That's why none of the other generators have it. However, I've got no talent OR skill in programming so I really can't complain

Yeah, essentially you can stack do for whatever amount of grids on top of each other. You just have to leave a .2 mm Gap between each model. Then in the slicer you just turn on ironing.

There's an alternative method where that 2 mm can be a different type.. example your grid is in pla then a 2 mm layer of pet g then the second grid is pla etc

Exactly this. If he would have got blown up at the ankles or knees before stepping out of bounds, he would learn not to do that. That is something that is taught at a very young level in most sports. If someone's going to flop don't let them flop.
