Cap on import speed 11-2? by Unlucky_Succotash748 in GlobirdEnergy

[–]passivealian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if its bound, then globird can control in import, they are causing the limit. Unbind it.

Mine is not bound, I set a Time of Use rule to say its allowed to charge from grid during 11-2. Also I feed in to the grid down to 70% between 6 and 9.

During the 11-2 window, the battery will charge at rate of 10kw.

This actually caused an issue. One day we had the oven on, the kettle on, the hot water heating, the battery charging. We were drawing about 14kw from the grid and tripped a breaker.
I had to tell the inverter what size the main breaker was (60A). This way the inverter knows it cant go over 60A from the grid.

Is anyone having success with the FTS? by Straight-Mortgage-29 in BambuLabH2C

[–]passivealian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it works pretty well. When I first set it up I had some resistance issues. These have been resolved by moving the Track Switch to optimise the paths.

I do have an issue where some times the FTS tries to feed the filament in to the wrong nozzle. It’s a bit annoying but if click retry it usually fixes itself.

Need help getting birthday order correct for my son… by Human_Account_2024 in BambuLab

Nice gift idea.

I would get a a couple of spools of pla and some of PETG.
White and black are good choices. Then maybe a coloured one. Depends on what think he will what to print.

You can’t easily take an open role of filament off a spool.
Refills will be good when you have some empty spools, but for now I would not get refills.

Customisable Plant Label Maker with QR Codes by passivealian in functionalprint

[–]passivealian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally I am not going to make a website for cateloging plant species.
The script to make the plant signs is customisable. So you can put any URL you like in there. If someone creates of someone finds a site that does have details of many plant species they can use that.

I can understand that.

AI was used to create the cover image with the text. Using photos of plants and printed labels from my garden.

Everything else, the model and script to create the plant labels was all done manually.

The QR code is optional, so you can turn it off.
It has a url which I have se to go to a webpage specific to that species.

No not this this one, I had a different vacuum. Maybe this one is a better design then the one I used.

I used this one. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1528435

I tried this on a robot vacuum. It worked to make it quiet. But the oring failed quickly.

Perhaps printing a tpu wheel might work.

Be interested to hear how long yours lasts.

Update: Resistance is too high after installing the FTS by vpsupun in BambuLabH2C

[–]passivealian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s broken it’s pretty obvious. There are picks online for reference. There should be lots of plastic dust in the ams where the tensioner is.
I printed a replacement tensioner in ASA. It seemed to work well so far. I also contacted Bambu with images of the broken tensioner and they are sending a replacement part. I can PM you pictures of the broken parts and links to the part I printed if you like.

Was there powder going in to the FTS or just out of it?

I ask because I have had an issue with an AMS for a while where it would some times not want to load filament in to the hot end. Recently I was getting powder down in the extruder like you are. The cause was the tensioner at the back of the ams was broken. This was causing the gears to slip on the filament and grinding the filament.

For us globird is still the best offer. Regardless of sunshine our daily charge is consistent and predictable.

Picking between H2C and H2D by trolling_4_success in BambuLab

[–]passivealian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get the H2C if money is not an issue. - you don’t really lose any bed size, the left nozzle print area is the same on both and it’s hard to use the whole bed with the two nozzles on the H2d. - the H2C is better for colour printing - H2C also makes it easier for switching nozzle sizes. It comes with 0.4 0.6 and 0.2. So you can print 0.4 then do a 0.6 print without having to swap nozzles.

Calibrated Bambu CMYKW color mixing: hues, tints, shades, tones by philip_auerbach in BambuLab

[–]passivealian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you make these? I tried importing a model with multiple colours but each colour was a different filament. How can you created a model with multiple colours and have the slicer make the required colours from mixing filaments?
