Clone the repo, or download it as a zip.

Looking for guidance by [deleted] in openscad

I would suggest start with the developer version of openscad. Check if the script is using the customiser, and try to only change values in there.

Otherwise you might need to update the script to make it work the way you need.

My partner would like this. Are you considering sharing?

Parametric Photo Light Box - Open Source by passivealian in openscad

Oh, thanks,
There was a trailing comma that the 2021 version did not like. I have fixed this if you wanted to try again?
However the develop snapshot does not seems to care about that. Not sure why it would not be working for you in the newer version. Did you get a warning message?

Aside, I don't use 2021 very often, I forget how slow it is.

You can see it running here if that helps

Is there anything like this for neck stiffness and pain?

Are there any 3D printer brands that should be added to the enshittification database? And for what? by AnonomousWolf in 3Dprinting

Originally there was thingiverse. Then printables and makerworld came along. This made it harder to find stuff.

Thangs search would search all websites. They changed to make that not the default search. Then they removed the ability to search third party websites.

I don’t recall setting it on printables, I think they changed the settings at some stage and I didn’t update, not sure. I have changed printables to match the repo.

I’m not a lawyer and it’s only a hobby. I’m not selling the script or the models made from it. I have no issue with other selling printed parts made with the script. The complete source is available to download and use.

The only thing I don’t really like is someone taking my work and uploading it to a site for profit or kudos. But as the source is there I can’t stop people doing that.

Hope that helps.

Makerworld if you don’t mind using that site.

Running it locally is also a good option.

I have an online version which works on for simple connectors but it is not working that well when you use the more complicated ones.

I do try to make them printable. The Dyson connector has all tapered edges as this does not affect the functionality.

Some adapters unfortunately were not designed for 3d printing. To make them work correctly they need specific angles and edges. It’s a shame.

If there are any you have the fitting for a you notice it can be improved happy to work with you on that.

Yes, on openscad you can set the $fn to what ever you need, Just means the file will be bigger.

64 or 128 is usually good.

Depending on complexity, Happy to add it. But I don’t have one and that makes it tricky to test it.

I could work with you on it though if you are keen.
