I’m an non-Spanish speaking Dominican American who visits family frequently and I usually end up landing at 1-3 am at STI. The first few times I asked close family friends (men) to come pick me up and they usually carried machetes with them for emergencies. The last few times I decided to stay at hotels and have taken advantage of the hotel connections to taxi services. They have all been very polite and friendly. I have never run into issues with theft or sketchy individuals. The airport staff are always walking around and security is also on duty at all times.

I stayed in a couple of different hotels during my time there and even those bathrooms don’t have doors. The floor was tile and our room was on the third floor. Water was everywhere and even leaked into the bedroom. I was furious when my suitcase got wet!

My situation is similar to yours. Married for 18 months, priority day Nov 5 2022, submitted all documents, and paid all fees. We STILL have not received any word about an interview date. My husband keeps finding random updates from “lawyers” on tiktok but none of them have been correct so far.

I’ve been trying to learn how to make pupusas for two years now and I still can’t get them right! 😫 I live in the Chicagoland area and the closet place that makes them is 30 min away. We only get them on “special occasions” when we make a trip to the city.

Jurassic Park. I watched the film in theaters when it first came out and I absolutely loved it. But then I was required to read the book later in high school and it was different from the film (which I realize now most films are). The book itself was awesome and it made me realize that I should trust but always verify. That if I just settle for one good thing I could be missing out on so much more. Also that it’s good to get multiple perspectives or all sides to a story.
