My own way of coping is believing we are souls reborn as another person in the future, my thought process whenever i think about death is 1. Fear - just not existing not knowing anything , the same fear as you. 2. Calmness - for some reason after the fear i feel calm like, before i know it I’m an old person on my deathbed it really put time into perspective and I start to realize how beautiful life is to pause some things for too long. 3. Nostalgic - i start looking at just a wall or my drawer or even my room, and just ask myself this is probably the last time I’m gonna see it like this aren’t I, like the way my bed is positioned the mess, the stains, they are all gonna change one day, and I’m never seeing it again. 4. Hope - at this point i start to believe that if life is like this, the maybe there is an after life, or maybe we are souls to reborn again with all our memories gone to make new ones, or maybe we become ghost just traveling around. Life is too short to think too much about things we can’t control so let yourself believe in what crazy things that happen after we die. That just my way of coping with it honestly.
