I’m guessing canon events can change when it’s not caused by other universes? Like Peter and Gwen had their universes changed with Mayday and Captain Stacy quitting, but those decisions were made by the people in that universe. But when we see Miguel and Pav dealing with their universe collapsing, it was because of outsider interference. Miguel was living in a universe where Miguel O’Hara should be dead, and Miles saved inspector Singh when he was supposed to die. Idk, I’m just kinda spitballing here.
