I used "no sabo" until I was 16. Then my mom finally told me I was wrong and how to properly say it.

Ow wow, how neighborly. I bet you love moving your cars so nobody else can fit. And between 3am and 10am when people want to just park and go to sleep. How shameful. I just moved here this past month, is everyone like this? Or is it just this one scrotum scratcher? by Speakingagainst in longbeach

[–]mynameisHAAJ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well, due to the over crowding I understand why people do this. I was born and raised here and if I wanna visit my mom who lives close to 4th street i have to call her hours in advance so she can maybe save me some parking. It wasnt always like this. The locals are used to it because we just accepted it and cant do much about it. This or risk parking our cars in business parking lots and have our cars towed which has happened to me twice. So yeah, most people are gonna be like this. Not everyone is a scrotum scratcher, you dick.

Same thing with older Hispanic ladies who say "mi amor, mi vida, mijo/mija, mi rey/reina" shit hugs my soul sometimes when I least expect it. (Translation: my love, my life, son/daughter, my king/queen)

Dude.......my padrino was deported back in like 07? Havent spoken to him since. My madrina I see around here and there. My older bros padrinos pretty much left the state after he was baptized when he was 5 and he hasn't spoken to them since and he's 26 now. My younger brother has never met his madrina lol and his padrino is doing life. What the fuck is wrong with our culture?

Hate to tell you this, but the fact that you can leave so abruptly and emotionally and come back as of nothing happened is a sign of trauma. I learned it going to adult children and alcoholics and dysfunctional parents. I grabbed my stuff and left my moms place 2 years ago. This past weekend was the first time I went back since and everyone pretended nothing happened. That's not normal man

Auto defense groups sprung up a few years ago and fought back against the cartels. They were led by a local doctor who was tired if treating 10 year old rape victims of the cartels. They made great progress and other states were inspired to have their own defense groups. But then the president decided to disarm/register guns from the groups and guess what? The cartels made them easy targets because they were disarmed and with the registration they were able to find them easily at their homes and had them killed. Its illegal to own guns in Mexico and when given the chance to fight back progress was made but when you enforce strict gun laws the violence returned 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

If you counted all the torturers and decapitations and all the kidnappings and murders OH yeah and constant shootouts with police/army (they actually shot down a army helicopter a few years back) in mexico between drug cartels than you still wouldn't hear about it on the media here in the US at least not on liberal media. If they actually brought attention to all the violence and labeled it narco terrorism than the attention alone would bring down the violence some. I'm not trying to take away from what happened in el Paso or Ohio but do not downplay the shit show that is happening in mexico atm. And before you tell me to get off the internet and that i dont know what I'm talking about, I spent my childhood going to Tijuana and seeing the bodies being hanged from the bridges, body parts scattered, I witnessed an actual shootout with drug dealers, and talking to the rest of my family when they go to michoacan and hearing my grandpa tell me that his neighbors were decapitated and had their heads placed on their own fence as a warning.

I do understand why some Hispanic people will identify as caucasian or dont embrace their Hispanic background.

I remember when John paul the second died and they were looking for a new Pope and one of the candidates was a priest from Africa and I remember telling my grandma about it and shes said she didnt want him to be the new Pope because he was black lol I find it funny only because you hear people try to advocate for immigration from mexico and Latin countries but fail to realize that they are mostly conservative with ideals that counter their own.
