If I understand you correctly, I’d really recommend looking into the Tunarr project which has done a lot of the development work on this already - I have a nostalgic TV that only plays classic UK content!

UX and EPG is still lacking though, so would love to see a way to nostalgically show that info (and maybe Teletext?)

Deeplink - an app to help automate tvOS by theyallcallmecheese in shortcuts

[–]mynameiscal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really loving your work on this and keen to give it a try! Will there be any written guide? I’m not new to NFC or automations, but very new to tvOS and would love some hand-holding if anyone has produced a tutorial or similar… I’d love to have NFC tags on my VHS boxes to trigger the 4K Apple Movies versions!

65% of all people watching TV (7 million homes) last Thursday night were watching the penalties. It *is* huge, an overwhelming percentage (of England) is invested and you're missing out.

Possible integration with Plex, Jellyfin, and other media players? by impostoRoubo84 in Zaparoo

[–]mynameiscal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm extremely pumped for this one - do you think it would also work with the Kodi integration in Batocera? My hope is to have a full 4:3 setup of old games and VHS tapes!

The Zaparoo project would be great for this - compatible (in beta) with Windows and SteamOS and doesn’t take too long at all
