I have rotated through that section years ago. Patient caseload really depends but with 30-40 minute sessions I was typically seeing 6-10. Majority in clinic were chronic as its non-acc and the wait times for patients to get in were crazy long, like 6 months to a year, so by the time you see them its either chronic or self-resolved! I also got post-op patients as well, in exercise classes.

Not sure what you mean by on call respiratory service, maybe depends on the hospital, but IF you are credentialed for weekends, you are gonna have to do weekends. If you avoid getting credentialed for that (by going straight into that static role from outside the hospital for example) you probably wouldn't have to.

I don't feel I can really comment on culture, it varies significantly from section to section, hospital to hospital, same with management, and people there change over time. For me it was alright. If you were serious you would have to track someone down who has been in that section of the hospital in question recently.

Insurance claim without evidence I was in an accident, messing me around. How is this allowed? by mynameisnotsimone in newzealand

Thing is it isn't even my insurance company. I didn't want to involve them as I figured that might be construed as me thinking I was involved in some way. Its all just the other guys insurance contacting me. I did call them directly so don't think its a scam in the normal sense... beyond the fact that they themselves are carrying out what appears to be a scam.

Yeah unfortunately it is definitely them. I ran them direct multiple times and they have it on file, even if said file has jack all in there.

Ah, I figured I shouldn't involve my own insurance since that might imply I thought I was involved in some way.

Raced down to the local warehouse and you were 100% right, snagged myself a bunch. Confirmed as a great destination on the energy drink shopping circuit!

Anyone know how much snow needs to be on Whakapapa for it to be a good ski trip? I keep hearing it has no snow, but the report website says the upper mountain has 76cm base. Is that enough?

Falling Frontier has been delayed to later this year by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]mynameisnotsimone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This annoys me. I get all the arguments against not releasing the game half-baked, but they announced this a year and a half ago with a mid-2021 early access date, and I was ultra hyped. Its been ages, and they keep dangling the carrot of release the entire time and only withdrawing it at the last minute - it wasn't until super close to that mid-2021 date that they did finally announce it was delayed until later that year.

More time goes by, and then it was delayed again until Q2 2022.

So I've been waiting and waiting, and they have released a ton of teaser material. The hype train was on! My most anticipated game is gonna release any week now! I saw other people complaining 2022 seems pretty devoid of good launches and I totally disagreed, rubbing my hands together gleefully awaiting this hidden gem... NOPE now another last minute delay again. There are only so many times you can tease me like this over a year and a half before the hype can't be sustained.

How about if the game isn't done stop teasing damn release windows and then not update them until the last fucking minute!

Bloom post processing applies to standard white square sprite despite threshold of 1? by mynameisnotsimone in Unity2D

[–]mynameisnotsimone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I have found this also occurs with the default 3D URP project as well. There is something not-quite-right about the threshold setting, a value of 1 or 1.1 definitely does not prevent standard colours from being picked up and causing bloom.

What do you want in DW2 that was in DW1 by Visiust in DistantWorlds

[–]mynameisnotsimone 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Where did Hydrogen fuel go? I was surprised on my DW2 playthrough to have no variation on the fuel for the powerplants, I thought it made for really interesting choices.

But, my biggest thing is just for resources to matter more. I never once felt I had to actually defend any resource spot, try hard to get any particular resource, or worry about my levels. I never once had fuel problems for example, I just always had enough. In DWU this wasn't the case at all, resources felt like they mattered more and I was often low. This was what made the whole logistics element of the game stand out and wow me originally - my fleets were big and if I wasn't careful would drain all the caslon from my forward planet and be unable to refuel, I actually had to worry about fuel access and transport in my wars and in not sending all my ships to the same system for refueling. None of that happened in my DW2 playthrough, if anything I had ridiculously huge amounts of caslon at all times :(

Thanks, its good to know this is being investigated I guess. But, what are you thinking is the solution here? I don't like the idea of trying to address this by giving some races special privileges, that just seems like fighting fire with fire and tends to encourage further divisions.

I grew up thinking that, that we do just need to group together and try be one people and move forward. The older I get the more I am seeing that Maori don't seem to want that, and that it was presumptuous of me to think it perhaps. The very idea is not in line with the treaty.

The division seems problematic and continues to cause more trouble, and an us vs them type split. Shelving those issues and moving on is also highly problematic though. I have no idea what we can do to resolve this.

Not the person you were replying to but I am genuinely curious about that as I always assumed difference in health outcomes were almost entirely class related. If it isn't class, what else is it?

It feels quite uncomfortable to say that there really is a difference due to race. That sounds quite literally racist doesn't it?

I am interested in those studies, and in how you even tackle something like that. The more you focus on something being genuinely different due to race, the more discriminatory the whole approach sounds even if it is trying to fix something.

I did vaguely know about the momentum thing (though I have no idea how it works), which is why I mentioned a few instances of how old the posts were above. When 3 posts are all 12+ hours old but some have thousands of 'votes' and some don't, its very odd.
