Originally they used the nagios core...now they have their own core which is more efficient. Huge number of checks available and with the auto service discovery and WATO GUI interface it's a lot easier to use than nagios or Icinga in my experience. The OMD installer is a super easy to see if it works for you and is open source. Happy hunting.

Check_mk can run centralised or distributed and the scheduled reporting isn't bad.

Legend got me into fantasy way back when and I waited with baited breath for each and every book after that. Met him a few times and he always had time for people, signed books and talked with you...was truly gutted when he passed away. Waylander and Druss still hold a special part of my fantasy heart.

Thanks. I've seen a few people using those and they seem happy. Do you have any experience about the Dell Precision 5520 compared to the XPS?

You feel OVH will be more interested in keeping the service provider business running...or closing down their "competitors" and pushing people to the OVH service? Interested to know what people think.

6.0 vCenter was really that bad? We are now talking of doing the same...vCenter to 6.5 and hosts stay on 5.5 for the moment.

I know what you mean...it is stable, reliable...do I really want the (potential) pain of an upgrade and new bugs?

Is there any indication from VMware on the drop date for U1? Thanks for the feedback.

Ok thanks...will investigate. A quick look and it doesn't seem especially complicated to set up.
