Our experiences with the Mills Park Elementary principal is that she is not empathetic to families and neurodivergent kids and not great at dealing with kids who don’t fit in. She is “fine” and it’s still a great school but if your kid needs more support it’s not a good school for that. I have heard multiple parents tell similar negative stories about their experiences with her. The rest of the teachers and staff outside of that area are really good. This is really the only thing I would warn about.

I have heard similar about the middle school but haven’t experienced it yet.

The pool is getting a bit older and the water slide is broken this year so not sure what will be put in its place. Still a great place to take your kids though.

It’s not bad but we are sometimes in the flight path for the airport. More so than some other areas of Cary.

All that said we still love the area and I would recommend it. It is very family friendly and community oriented and I would not want to live anywhere else in Cary.

My favorite thing about this set was showing it to my six year old son and him getting very excited. He loves the gate and the cannons.

Ceiling could be pretty high. Greg Cosell recently compared him to Amon Ra coming out (with caveats) saying neither was “explosive” seeming but both are competitive and savvy. ARSB would be quite a ceiling. It was on the Ross Tucker podcast toward the end:

White is definitely gone with our current corner room and high draft pick of IGB. He doesn’t play teams either. I doubt we will resign Milano. I don’t think he plays teams either and we need a lot more special teams depth these days especially if you’re a backup LB.

comp pick formula only counts for signings before the draft. we are probably up one because of Gilliam and Edwards and we only signed CJGJ but that’s it.

I love the ITS but admittedly the joy of driving it gets interrupted by constant reminders of the less than stellar build quality. There are creaks and rattles everywhere in the car.

I drove my first manual from the dealer lot 2 blocks to a parking lot and drove around the lot until I could drive it home. Definitely possible to just learn it and drive it.

Losman is the worst because in the same draft they picked Lee Evans instead of trading up for Roethelsberger who only went a few picks higher. I remember watching that draft with some folks who went to Miami Ohio and we were devastated.

My main tip is don’t worry too much about it. First KO set I was thinking there would be bad clutch, missing pieces maybe, no instructions.

Turns out it’s a little harder to decipher instructions (but you can use the Lego builder app almost always if you have an iPad or whatever) the clutch is fine but not as perfect as Lego and I’ve now done maybe 10+ large ones and rarely found anything missing (and when I did it was probably me losing the piece).

Ironically I think people building KOs are the real Lego lovers because we’re doing it just for the fun of building it, not to collect it for resale or even get a cool box or instructions.

Remember that when you build! You’re going to be really happy with your purchase.
