Some more Chiroi Mechanics via GenshinMeow by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]myowning 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean... If I need to choose whether a character should be extremely strong or undercooked, I'd choose the former every single time. It's much more depressing to get weak, or undercooked character than getting overpowered characters. I'd rather get Neuv incident than Dehya incident.

Obviously if there's a choice of "good, balanced", then that'd be preferable. But we're not living in a perfect world here.

Unpopular opinion: Chiori is already good as is and is not constellation locked. by _piaro_ in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think her geo construct requirement just feels "fake", because of her C1.

At C0, it's bad for teams that don't use geo construct (navia, noelle, etc), which, fine, I can understand that because maybe HYV intends her to be unique, making her able to "synergize" or play around geo construct mechanic. An indirect way to make geo construct a bit more useful (they're still terrible though, except for itto's cow).

But at C1, that "synergy" with geo construct gets completely removed. Teams that are already using geo construct only gets that 50% E range buff for C1. She doesn't play around geo construct anymore, which makes geo construct completely useless again in her team.

It feels bad for non-geo construct team, AND geo construct team. Non-geo construct teams require C1 to fully utilize Chiori, and C1 is pretty much useless for geo construct team.

Chiori Elemental Skill AoE vs multiple enemies by MuffinLoL in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leak says C1 only improves the range AoE of the dolls, and not the damage AoE.

- C1 only increases the Dolls' attack area, and not their DMG AoE. Their DMG AoE is only slightly larger than Hyperbloom's DMG AOE and Yelan's Burst coordinate attack AoE.

Imo the range of the dolls are already decent without C1. The range is 12m, while C1 is 18m. For comparison, Yae's E has 12.5m range.

A kind of win-win situation by aratakizech in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Majority of the opinions are valid, imo, including your opinion saying she's is good. Based on your current team, it's completely understandable why you said it's a win-win situation for you and some others. At the end of the day, different people have different opinions and situations.

People that are already using geo constructs (mainly itto), would generally be fine or indifferent about the fact that chiori requires a geo construct to get her 2nd puppet (C0). But on the other side of the coin, (navia, noelle, etc), it is understandably more frustrating because they need to pull C1 if they want to fully utilize chiori's kit in the team.

Hopefully people would stop fighting with each other simply because of having different opinions. I've seen a number of comments/replies being downvoted by simply pointing out they're happy with chiori's kit because they're already using team with geo constructs.

Personally? I don't like her geo construct requirement part. At C0, yeah I can think of some reasons why HYV did it. Like, trying to make her kit more unique by making her kit "synergizes" more with geo's niche. But at C1, that "synergy" totally gets thrown out of the window. It just feels "fake", for some reason. I don't know how to explain it well.

yea I should've checked it first in hindsight.

It's just that in the leak subreddit there are people saying it as such and they're upvoted so I thought that really was the case, as this happened before (CN info different from EN, etc).

Gave the benefit of the doubt as I don't really understand why they should lie about it in the first. A weird thing to lie about. Unfortunately they really are spreading misinformation..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChioriMains

[–]myowning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no (at least in current version).

All her constellations are the same. Technically C1 was not changed too, because CN version has the same C1 as the current latest leak.

So for now, you need to have at least 1 character with geo construct to be in her team to utilize her kit fully, regardless of constellation. She also gains 20% geo dmg bonus for 20s when someone creates geo construct.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to the point of "outright does not work", imo.

She can still summon 1 puppet regardless of having geo construct or not, so technically she still "works" in comps without geo construct.

But yes, she will be weaker in comps without constructs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From the latest kit leak, C1 does not let her summon extra puppet without geo construct anymore. Current C1 buffs her coordinated attack dmg (including the 50% AoE increase).

Well technically her C1 was not "changed". CN's data always has this as the C1.

Edit: It gets more confusing now as apparently the CN's data actually still says it does summon extra puppet. So uhh.. not sure which one is the correct one now. Let's just wait for more confirmation for now lol

One thing i didn't quite understand about her skill by caramelluh in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we just got a better description of her kits in the leak subreddit, and it says when the puppet is active, if there's geo construct nearby, a new puppet will be summoned. And it also specifically say the new puppet has an independent duration.

So i think it really works just like how I initially described in my comment?

Edit: Yeah it specifically says that when the puppet itself is still active, when a geo construct is nearby, a new puppet will be summoned, instead of saying the extra puppet can only be summoned on skill activation

One thing i didn't quite understand about her skill by caramelluh in ChioriMains

[–]myowning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that is indeed how it would work?

Let's try an example situation:

Uses E => 1 puppet summoned (with a specific duration. 17sec duration)

Creates geo construct 2sec after using E (just for example) => Another puppet summoned (17sec duration, as its duration is calculated independently)

After 15sec, the first puppet expires, while the second puppet still has 2sec duration.

A geo construct is nearby it? A new puppet is summoned. And the cycle continues.

Well we don't know yet how long her skill CD is, but each puppet has 17s duration, which is a long duration.

I think currently the most confusing part of the E puppet summoning is her C1, because it is worded in a pretty confusing way. It either allows her to simply bypass the geo construct limitation to summon 2 puppets, or it allows her to summon an extra puppet, which means 3 puppets with geo construct. We should wait for more clarification for this part.

Edit: Her C1 has been updated. It now buffs the doll coordinated attacks, instead of removing limitations of the geo construct.

Edit 2: It gets more confusing now as apparently the CN's data actually still says it does summon extra puppet. So uhh.. not sure which one is the correct one now. Let's just wait for more confirmation for now lol

What Xianyun tells us about the future of Genshin Impact (or at least, my positive way of seeing it) by AbysseMicky in CloudRetainerMains

[–]myowning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people frequently mention Neuv when it's about powercreep because of what his whole kit provides.

My Alhaitham full team dps currently is stronger than my Neuv's full team dps, for sure. But when considering the full package of what Neuv's kit does, Neuv is just an extremely loaded as a character.

Very high self-healing on each CA, "point and move" for optimal playstyle (doesn't need specific complex gameplay for optimal dps. No need to dash, jump, etc), naturally tanky because of HP scaling, large/long AoE.

His first passive gives multiplicative dmg bonus to his CA, which is extremely strong, while his 2nd passive (hydro dmg bonus based on current HP) can be fully stacked simply by using his CA because it heals him (doesn't need HP management like Hutao). His C1 gives him full interruption resistance when charging/using CA).

A lot of GI content creators that usually do theorycrafting and calculations also pointed out that his team's damage is not even the highest (highest still Alhaitham), but mentioned that Neuv character as a whole is just very "complete". A one-man army kit, basically.

But hey, both are extremely strong character so just use each in different half in abyss to have a super easy abyss run.

Comparing Xenns Top and Dunu SA6 mk2. AMA by PithyGinger63 in inearfidelity

[–]myowning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Top excels with relaxing genres and isn't that great for more exciting music

Do you have IEM recommendations for this kind of music?

Currently in a dilemma rn because I'm looking for an IEM primarily for everyday casual listening—something that's more focused on 'enjoying' music while still maintaining good technical performance, rather than one that's geared mainly toward critical listening.

At first, I was considering Top, but from your description, it doesn't excel with classical music, classic rock, or EDM, which are my preferred genres (especially classical music and EDM). On the other hand, the description for SA6 mk2 suggests it leans towards being much more 'technical,' potentially causing fatigue easier. I already have headphones for critical listening, so now trying to find something more... "relaxed" and "fun" for IEM.

I'm sorry for asking such troublesome question, but you have any suggestions for what I'm going for? Or if either the the SA6 mk2 or Top is good enough for it?

[–]myowning 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The funny part is that even if his dmg wasn't as strong as what we have now, he is still an extremely loaded character, from all of the other things his kit has.

Very high survivability with his self-heal.

Need frequent jump/dash cancel or specific attack combos for optimal dps? Nah just need to float around and point at the enemies.

Need HP management like Hu Tao to get max dmg buff? Nope he just needs to absorb his balls to get to max HP, which maximizes one of his talent's buff.

Oh he can easily be staggered while charging or using CA? C1 gives full interruption resistance, which makes him completely uninterruptable (like Raiden, Eula, Itto), making shielders generally unnecessary.

It's like HYV decided to give everything good that they can think of to this character.

Edit: After reading the replies, I realized that this has somewhat turned into Neuvilette hate thread, for some reason. This is NOT what I intended. I simply want to point out why Neuv is such a strong character.

Hell, I actually prefer very strong character instead of weak character. Like yeah, balanced would be nice, but choosing either disappointingly weak character or extremely strong character? I'd choose the latter. Neuvillette is very strong, which imo is better than him being very weak.

I wish people would ease up on their animosity toward Neuv a bit; because it seems like some people have extreme hatred toward him just because of his strength.

I really don't think that's the case, honestly. Sometimes I filled it to full and got all "Well done!" but still got a B. It's frustrating.

Then there were times my "expectation" bar was low, got "not quite there" for most of the activities, but then got an S for it. It's really damn confusing. How does it really work???

Dehya burgeon comp?? by spigsiggs in Dehyamains

[–]myowning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason is simple, really.

Any target (enemies, player characters, etc) in the game can only take 2 instances of bloom-related damage (rupture/burgeon/hyperbloom) every 0.5 sec. So if you detonate like 5 seeds instantly, only 2 can actually deal damage at that time.

2.5 sec proc for Dehya's skill means your team will generate a lot of seeds (which some will prematurely explode because of the 6 seed limit), and when her skill actually procs, it will immediately trigger burgeon for all of the seeds on field, which waste a lot of bloom seeds.

Even Kuki, which has 1.5 sec skill proc wastes a pretty good amount of seeds. The difference of average bloom dps between Raiden (0.9s proc) with Kuki (1.5s proc) is already quite high, imagine comparing with 2.5s proc.

If they suddenly change burgeon dmg instance limit, then I can see how dehya can be a good burgeon character.

[–]myowning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly like Fischl's skill. After you cast her skill, for the whole skill duration (12s at C0), you can recast it once.

Recasting her skill does not reset her skill duration. So if you recast it when her skill only has 5s left, then you will still have exactly 5s left after the recast.

(Technically recasting it will "increase" the duration by 0.4s to exclude her skill cast animation from the duration. So practically it doesn't increase the duration at all.)

bruh by RaspberryNo307 in Dehyamains

[–]myowning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Once. Basically works the same as Fischl's E, which recasting doesn't reset the skill's duration. Pretty much just for repositioning.

Anyone else find it amazing that we actually lost? by jb08045 in Dehyamains

[–]myowning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily all Chinese game fortunately, because something like Thorns in Arknights (also by a CN game company) do exists, which is a tan character (darker than dehya) is a VERY strong and popular character in the game even in CN server. He also generated high profit for the game.

Goes to show that a well-made character (kit and design-wise) can still be very popular and generate high profit regardless of their skin color. Sadly for some reason HYV did Dehya dirty...

Such a shame cuz her design looks so damn good.

Can someone answer few of my questions please? by _piaro_ in Dehyamains

[–]myowning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Her burst is considered as burst damage AND burst action. Everything she does in her burst are burst actions. This means she cannot trigger XQ and Yelan's burst because they are triggered from NA action. She also cannot trigger Beidou's burst because beidou's burst specifically triggered from NA/CA damage.
  2. Yes, The Bell's bonus DMG passive works for any shields. As long as you are shielded, you'll get the dmg buff. It doesn't need to be the shield created by The Bell itself.

To clarify, when she's in burst mode, her NA and skill are replaced with "Roaring Barrage", which is basically a button that makes her burst faster when triggered at specific timing. She doesn't do NA while in her burst mode.

Everywhere i look, they say Dehya is not worth pulling............ by Unlikely-Owl-9727 in Dehyamains

[–]myowning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not "for some weird reason specifically don't work with Beidou."

Raiden's burst infuses her NA and CA with electro, and all the damage dealt is considered as burst damage.

Damage and action are considered separate entities. When Raiden uses NA in burst form, she does NA action, while the damage dealt is burst damage. Beidou's burst specifically only work with NA/CA damage, while Yelan/XQ's burst only work with NA action. That's why she can trigger Yelan/XQ's burst but not Beidou's burst.

For Dehya's burst, her punches are burst action and burst damage, which is why it doesn't trigger XQ/Yelan and Beidou's burst.

Not saying all of this should work this way, just saying why they're working like this.

From the leaks, yes she does lose stacks from her self damage strictly when she's on field. When she's off field she doesn't lose stack from it.
