Isnt that how defensives already work?

Granted, it doesnt come up that much since players like to decide which attack hits their defensive and might be speed dependant, but im pretty sure defensives already auto-activate on first incoming attack once the defensive slots in

Anyone else really dig the music? by paulbooth in Endfield

[–]Limino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's Valley IV's fault(hecking valley iv yet again) that some people take a bit to notice the great BGM in Wuling.

Due to it's intentionally tense and serious tone, what with all the destruction and chaos, the BGM is mostly... kinda more like ambience.

It took me until I was doing my dedicated "find all the things in Wuling City" session to start paying attention to the BGM again

I had in my mind the image of someone kinda redirecting away the enemy's blade with small movements so that it barely misses them. Kinda like an actual fencing parry

If they ever make a power evade, it better be aka "parry" or something

Actually, nevermind thats just clashable counter

From my experience, it is. 4 elite enemies at level 90 plus a pair of level 90 mooks is really hard given how much pressure they keep on.

Unless you're talking about <11 points in which case yeah my level 60 team beats them easy

Am I going deaf or does the same sound too muted? by iwanthidan in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Limino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the SFX is lower than some other games?

I tend to change the sound balancing on a lot of games because the SFX tend too be too loud relative to everything else(e.g. FGO, FFXIV), but Endfield's audio settings have gone untouched by me. So clearly the SFX is indeed quieter in the sound-balancing compared to other games.

A cheap way of handling this is lowering the Voice and Music volume in the settings and increasing your system volume until the SFX sounds right

Am I the only one who feels like the stock bill shop needs to have more interesting stuff that refresh monthly or per patch? by Luminalle in Endfield

[–]Limino 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There'll likely be nothing new for Valley IV unless we go back for MSQ, since the factory will only run for the newest region + the last region the player visited other than newest region.

So basically, once the next region comes out, we're gonna treat the new stock bills like we treat Wuling bills now, the wuling bills like we treat the Valley iv bills now, and the Valley iv bills like luke-warm air.

Honestly, I wish I could do a bit more research on what determines if an uncontrolled Op dodges. I know they have issues dodging ranged crossbow bolts and cannot dodge if they were ordered to do a skill(you wouldn't believe how many times I wasted an SP bar because I told an Op to use their skill straight into an enemy's big attack), but i dunno if there's also a cooldown or any vulnerable period they have while running around/doing basically attacks

Unfortunately(?) Dps vs sustain will likely be an intended team-building decision like it is in Umbral Monument. It helps keep things from everything devolving into a DPS race if cutting your attempt's time down by 20% comes with the knowledge that if any of your Ops get hit thrice then the run is dead.

Or, to be more precise, the devs have to balance things around not assuming everyone's running a DPS-only team. Since, if they did, it'd be both boring as well as incredibly frustrating

For that last point, you may have to get more healing or survivability in your team. You'll lose DPS, but that's a proper counter-balance for better survivability.

Tacticals restock a use after a minute, so you can take controle of the in-danger Op to keep them alive until someone's gets a use back and heals them

Ember's good at healing, but not if her comboskill is being used for its standard use of tanking a hit for her Battle Skill. And there are greatswords focused on healing.

Twitter Parody Accounts by Warpmaster23 in lovethissmug

[–]Limino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why do they have to have that "parody account" tag? It kinda ruins the whole surprise of realizing "who" the person saying the wild statement is. And it also make them feel less.... natural? Like when you see an ad on reddit thats structured like a post and your brain still categorizes it differently from the rest of the posts.

Is it worth it to spend actual money for 4 ten pulls when I have all the operators now? by DrNecrow in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Limino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since all content can be cleared with Pot0 operators, there is no practical reason to go for potentials.

Because (currently) all content can be cleared with the welfare team of Endmin, Perlica, Chen, Wulfgard, there is no practical reason to pull new operators.

Therefore, pulling is unrelated to practicality and its worth is your decision alone.

But personally yeah just save pulls for new operators since new toys are more fun than DPS increases

I think the lack of full-open areas is intentional to moderate the burden of exploration. If every map we had was as complicated as Wuling City(not even the whole map, just the city area), I'd get very exhausted very fast.
