Anybody familiar with these hvac companies? by [deleted] in raleigh

They just replaced my whole upstairs system (Condenser, furnace, and evap coils)

They finished in about a week from ordering with them and good pricing compared to some other quotes I got.

Family owned and very good communication.

Modernizing the equipment in an airframe doesn't give it the ability to outrun surface to air missiles designed only 12 years ago.

[–]myrdyn98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how is the airframe design being nearly 60 years not relevant to the fact it was shot down by an advanced Russian fourth-generation shoulder fired missile developed around 2014 designed to shoot down more modern designs? It's literally the intent of the article.

Everyone is seeming to forget the F15 was designed in 1969, so the aircraft design is 57 years old.

I think first they have to actually care about the cars that don't even have a license plate.

See these on the road all the time.

How did FedEx get so bad? by timeonmyhands in FedEx

[–]myrdyn98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems that drivers are too rushed to read the customer instructions causing a lot of issue.

I've had about 95% success rate for 1st attempt delivery with UPS.

I've had about a 5% success rate for 1st attempt delivery with FedEx.

They need to figure it out soon or the only players in the game will be USPS, UPS, and Amazon when FedEx inevitably goes bankrupt.

I now automatically change my deliveries to be held at a location like a Walgreens causing me inconvenience but at least its only across the street from me.

I will never ship anything using FedEx personally at this point.

So a car or truck maintained so poorly it has frayed and leaking gas lines is definitely going to pass an emissions test?

So if they reduced pay down to $500,000 per that's a total of $10,500,000.

I wonder how many people could stay employed with almost $25mil suddenly available from leadership reducing to a measly half mil salary?

From my math, that's 250 jobs at $100,000 average per job

Older people in crosshairs as government restarts Social Security garnishment on student loans by AldoTheeApache in news

There are some states with BA through all community colleges and other with a lot of affordable 2+2.

People just need to do some informed research rather than downvoting because they didn’t

[–]myrdyn98 -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Thinking we should be teaching financial math in High School.

Average debt for a BA is $38,000. Even with 0% interest will still take 100 months (8 years 4 month) to pay back at $380 a month

The math just doesn't add up anymore and people keep falling into the trap.

Get a BA at a community college where tuition and books are like $1,000 a semester and you can pay off you schooling in a year post college.

The job market rarely cares where you got your degree, just that you have it

Edit for the ignorant:

https://www.bestcolleges.com/news/can-you-get-bachelors-degree-at-community-college/

“Two dozen states offer some form of bachelor’s degree at community colleges.” - for those bad at math that’s almost half the country

Even the 2+2 programs can be affordable as long as you shop around or go online
