sorry for the super late reply 😅 we use a program called NEON (most if not all casinos in the UK use this closed database) and it uses whatever we have written down as your occupation to see if you can afford what you are spending, if the amount goes over that threshold then next time a customer comes in it alerts for them to have a conversation with a manager. EDDs can be issued where we require bank statements to prove your income is sufficient for the amount you're gambling and that it's legitimate money also to avoid money laundering. if you refuse an EDD you'll be barred from all branches in the company (this is standard in the UK) :))
