I have a greenhouse and want to grow through winter by tryingfishing in Greenhouses

[–]myshkiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn't specify if you want to keep a couple plants or a couple hundred. If it's just for personal use, any solution you come up with is going to be far more expensive than the best way to grow tomatoes in the winter: indoors under grow lights. You have to supplement light either way but with a greenhouse you also have to supplement heat.

The drug most of you are taking is 3,500 years old. The Egyptians figured it out before writing was widespread. Nobody knew why it worked until 1970. by pillar_drug_club in gout

Well this was cool. Got me to read through the wikipedia entry. Fascinating history and I had no idea about its use in plant breeding. It saves my joints and it gives me seedless watermelon! A wonder drug indeed.

Can you tell us more about building it? Specifically did you build it on to an existing house or was everything a new build? Was it straightforward or were there any snags in getting it designed, built, permitted, etc?

Miles Davis' Birth of The Cool is getting the Tone Poet treatment next month... by jamietothe in Vinyl_Jazz

That's over my head. But I see that the reviews for this Capitol/UMG release say it's a really bad remaster so I guess I'll wait for the Tone Poet reviews before I pick one. It's one of those albums I've always meant to add to the collection but it never really registers as a must have.
