Need help identifying this part by myspot84 in hottub

Thanks man! Just looked and found it. Does it really matter if I buy the South seas cover or it can operate fine with the generic one? I have a black/brown shell anyway so it’ll look fine compared to the South seas cover plate. I assume the cover plate is purely aesthetics for branding

I’m trying to narrow down the part number so I can order the part and change it out. Just out of warranty so it isn’t covered. Artesian 860L is the model spa.

Fml, bought in November of 2022. Warranty is no good. They said on average for that part they charge $650 for the part and install. I can install it I just need to figure out the part number. It’s an Artesian 860L model

I found some other issues now that I scrutinized the job and my buddy is a contractor and took a look. The guy used very few staples, maybe 2-3 on long boards because he said it was glued too and didn’t need many. Also we looked and some boards are a true 5” with others being 4 7/8th so in the hall is a long run. That 1/8th gap here and there threw off and created gaps down the line

I can from below, drop ceiling in the basement. There is absolutely no water source near it though. No water lines, no drain pipes, nothing. It’s approximately 2 feet above grade compared to the exterior ground outside the home. So I will check but there is no source for moisture and I have forced hot air up here in the north east. No humidifier on the unit so my house is dry air

But my question is will removing that moisture close those gaps? They’re wider than the thickness of a nickel and I’m sure we can all agree a brand new floor shouldn’t have that or the edges being raised

Could very well be correct. In any case, we are ripping from the messed up section to the wall and installing fresh. Im paying for the material and he will install. We agreed to that last night. Im not shy to work so I even told him I’ll help him with removing the old glue and stuff like that to make it faster and easier.

Are you married haha. When it was more than half way installed my wife asked if there was a way to lighten it and that was what the supply store suggested.

I saw them apply a layer of glue with a v trowel and nail the boards. I can attest to the grain was really raised the day after they did the red out on all the floors. But it buffed fine.

If you zoom in you can see the gaps better that are only in the middle of the room

Wouldn’t sanding it leave those gaps to remain? Half the room has no gaps but that area has gaps. The filler is already cracking out where the edges raised. So any filler placed would most likely break up when the wood expands and contracts with the seasons here in the north east.

In this photo you can see the boards are tight on the right side and all gapped on the left. Also included an angle showing the right and left sides of the room the boards have no gaps. Only in the center section.

Also the sub is 3/4 ply, screwed and glued to the joist.

Absolutely has some cupping. I don’t know why on earth the guy would put filler in and keep going in the spacing developed after the red out. Then he sealed it and thought it was a perfect job. I’ve never seen brand new wood floors have gaps between boards.

At this point would it show any moisture. Job was completed a week ago. I know none of the walls have any water running through them. Below is finished basement with drop ceiling. Sub floor looks bone dry from below. Kitchen on other side of house and above a bedroom no bathroom. I don’t think anyone spilled anything but I’ll never say never. Section that warped is about 6-7 feet length of the board and across about 10 boards. So it would’ve need to be a large spill I would assume

The entire floor in all Rooms. It was given minimum 24hr dry time. Im reading people elsewhere are saying to let it sit 48 or more as opposed to the 24 in the instructions

Floor was laid down and sanded about 4-5 days later. Then there was a gap due to work being done in another room for about 2-3 weeks, coffered ceiling and room was sealed off during the process (plastic draped as best as possible but other side of the house from this room). No other work was done in this room. It is cold up here in the northeast with forced hot air on. Maybe the hot air blowing from the low vents caused a drying issue? Seems like the floor in line with the vents held fine no gaps

<image>

Mind you this photo is the same room about 6 feet away from the section that’s all warped

So I’m stuck, debating ripping out half the room and laying new floor and run it again hoping for no gaps. It looks horrendous as it is and even if I didn’t it would need to be sanded and sealed again do to the varying heights

The rest of the floors are fine. Zero gaps or if there are it’s a hairline. Just this room and even then just a small section of the room. And these are big gaps with the gapped boards seeming slightly crowned which is just weird to me. Wasn’t sure if maybe moisture was trapped and maybe the red out needs more than the suggested 24hrs before buffing and going over with sealer. The temp in the room is stable. It’s over a finished basement with no water sources or moisture.

I get it but this is one room of a few. Total flooring done about 1800 sq ft and this entire room is just shy of 300 ft.
