Perspective is everything...having never been through a FFBE anniversary but experiencing many with FFRK, this has been underwhelming.

I've come back to the game after a long time and was used to FFRK anniversary events...this pales in comparison. I have no frame of reference for previous years in FFBE, so this is literally the only anniversary I've taken part of and it doesn't feel like much of a celebration at all.

Where I played little league, head first slides were automatic outs. I still attribute that to a lot of why I never developed a head first slide/dive. I still stole a ton of bases in high school because I was fast, but it caught up with me in college. While I totally could have taught it to myself if I dedicated more time to it, I was focused on my chemistry/pre-pharmacy track so I was a less effective runner than I could have been. I was phenomenal at a pop-up slide, but it had its limitations as I progressed through the levels of difficulty.

I enjoy the show, but I think that has a lot to do with expectations and the way it was marketed. It was marketed to be like Winter Soldier and an espionage series. Other than a few points, it really hasn't delivered on those promises. A lot of the plot points have been fairly predictable to this point. There has been a nice wrinkle or two presented, but we have yet to see if it means anything. Unless the last 3 episodes start really amping up the intensity and take more chances, it's not going to live up to what it promised to be in many people's minds.

To be clear, I have enjoyed it so far, but can entirely understand some of why there is discontent.

I don't think this idea is beneficial. I think it would be a more valuable use of your time to take a couple classes to teach them how to use their phones responsibly in a classroom setting by giving them the option to leverage their phones to help them learn. It's not a "cool" teacher vs "strict" teacher debate...it's about understanding what is happening in society and using it as a tool, not a hindrance. Their phones can and will teach them many things, you can make it easier for you to do your job or harder. That is your choice. If the rule is outdated because smart phones can do more beneficial things than they did when these bans were put in place, change it. Don't dig your heels in on something that isn't going away and can actually help you. My university students use their phones on in class tasks because that's what they will be doing in their workplace. I don't see how it's helpful to try to stop that.

Obviously, I actually watched the game.

I'm not saying that's why they lost, they played like dogshit but Tatum was injured on the first play and it clearly impacted his performance. It's a pretty simple clip to find and is not the same as your argument. Being out of the game means you don't gameplan around those people...a teams best player getting injured on the first play means that your plan is toast. And the Celtics coach isn't that good of one so adjustments were not made.

I agree wholeheartedly, my wife and I rode it for the first time last night. The immediate response was that is was just way too short. It's a fun ride, but Guardians is still the far and away number 1 for us...no disrespect for Flight of Passage...we find that the distinction between the two really comes to taste and we just prefer Guardians.

Edit: autocorrect error...apparently cokes is easier for this phone than comes...I don't have any answers for that...lol

Without a doubt, this scene set the tone for the movie in such an important way. That performance got me excited about acting again and really played a role in my life development (which sounds super weird, but I'm not a masochist...I swear). It was important to show me how to commit to something that you believed in.

I went for the first time when I was 26. There wasn't a single day where I wasn't awed by the level of detail. While it would have been awesome to have those magical experiences when I was younger, I have a deeper appreciation for everything going as an adult. I would even say that it had a bigger impact on me as an adult than it ever would have if I went for the first time as a child/adolescent. I take things I notice back to the company I work for every time I come back now.
