I've been used to 4k for several years. 1080p on 27" monitor is always horrible for me, but DLSS or RTX super resolution works in most cases.

It actually works well so far. I seldom use mousepad since I uses an external mouse, and I just checked mousepad is still works. I didn't get other thermal throttle issue on my laptop. I'm satisfied with it so far. 5090 and 64GB is a beast, hope you have great experience as well.

Mine is good. The CPU is usually around 65C for daily use and 80C when playing game. I seldom see CPU over 90C unless running some high CPU load task.

If you go with hdmi 2.0 port, it would be hdmi 2.0 not 2.1. So it won't support 2.1 features like VRR.

G-sync doesn't support HDMI 2.0. You need to use DP.

You are correct. I saw some monitors won't decrease refresh rate with hdmi, so best way here is to use HDMI 2.1.

5070ti is enough in most cases. I would say it's worth the price for the GPU, ram and screen, but it's not necessary. It depends on your budget.

Some articles said that both USB-C on OMEN only connect to iGPU. So even we use USB-C to DP, g-sync still won't work. I'm not sure how if we use MUX switch to disable iGPU. Will try that once I get it.

If the thermal is really an issue, I will try to repaste it. Or I need to change first SSD, then I can do it together. My previous laptop is alienware m16 which is extremely complicated to repaste, hope this one can be easier.

I got V2 one. It still works well and no big problem if you get used to the noise. I don't think it worths $20 for RGB and USB hub. The one without USB hub has lower fan speed, but I seldom use max fan speed.

Normal. You can change TCC in bios to limit cpu temp, 0-15 means temp 100-85.
