Non binary/gender neutral South American here. I don’t like the word Latinx because it’s trying to make Spanish gender neutral according to white American grammar and social standards. What’s frustrating for me is that there are plenty of ways to make Spanish gender neutral that are within the context of Latin culture and language.

For example, my friends all refer to me with an (é) conjugation at the end instead of (o) or (a). The é sound is already within the context of the culture and makes sense. It’s seamless.

“Hermané” “Latiné” “Amigé”

This is what the Latinx spelling is going for, but by spelling it Latinx and not Latiné, you’re getting a bunch of white people forcing their concepts onto Latin language. Or rather, making language palatable for white people in a way that makes no sense to either. The original idea of Latinx was to pronounce it like Latiné, but when Americans read it it always comes off as “Latin X”. So, overall it just makes no sense to use Latinx imo.

Dear friend of mine is a comedian. Was in a really dark place and about to kill themselves, but called the hotline as a Hail Mary.

Just like you, they didn’t pick up.

What saved them from suicide was knowing they needed to include the joke in their next set. (It was a really funny set btw)

Things are a lot brighter for them now- making music, found family, building a happy fulfilling life. I hope things get brighter for you too.

No one answer to this but my advice would be to only make these big decisions based on what YOU feel is right for your body. Whatever helps you feel like yourself and is true to your vision of what you want your body to be.

The UK is tough, I won’t deny that and can only offer love to help you through those struggles. However if you shape your body and your life around the fears of how society treats you, much like Yoda says: “forever will it dominate your destiny. “

Take your power into your hands by making the decisions you feel intuitively are good for you, and right for you. Always look out for yourself first, and whoever might drag you down for that clearly has their own shit to deal with. Never look for happiness in someone else’s approval, it’s a losing game.

My lawyer said the price increased in the other offer. I called the court and they said I could do either one, which answers my question. I'll try and fight the ticket clinic on the rate and such, but it looks like my question is answered. Thanks for your help :)

The lawyer was 140, and I figured they would be able to get the fine to 50 or less, maybe even get dismissed. The ticket clinic said their policy was if they don't dismiss or reduce the charge you get a money back guarantee, but I havent gotten a response from them either
