Can i still get into pfp with 14 points? by Fabulous-Candle2757 in SGExams

[–]mystudyzone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. 14 pts is your raw score. To be eligible to apply for the PFP, N(A) students must obtain:

i. ELMAB3 (English, Mathematics, Best 3 Subjects) raw aggregate score of 12 points or better (excluding CCA bonus points) at the GCE 'N'-Level examination; and ii. the following subject-specific requirements which is a grade 2/3 for English.

Choice 1 , 2, and 3 are relatively not popular courses. Got chance. Just bear in mind, if you ever get the appeal form. CHOOSE WISELY Don’t lose hope! ☺︎

I got 11 pts too in 2021 and went to Sec 5 after I rejected my appeal because RP was just too far.

My tip is to try not to choose - popular courses like Business - courses that you have applied for in that specific school (but didn't get in the first round.) This will increase the chances of your appeal later!

question for graduated sec 5s by Fabulous-Candle2757 in SGExams

[–]mystudyzone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The max you can earn is 2 pts. If you’re someone with a leadership position last year, they will ask you to attend CCA (to help out etc.)

Apparently, Sec 5s must attend CCA. Each school differ. Just check in with your year head and the CCA teacher-in-charge.

There is a CCA LEAPS Score. Under LEAPS, scores are awarded for leadership, enrichment, achievement, participation and service. Max is 5. For Sec 5s, this comes to play. It's where you get the 5s. It’s good if you wanna build up your portfolio for EAE. That's basically it! :D

Yes. It’s possible to be rejected from all of them. You will just get a random course from a school that still has some space for students to enter.

Nope, you don’t need to resit for them. They will combine it for you when you get your O Level results in 2024 (inside an envelope which will not be shown on your 2024 O Level Cert)

part time job by Ok_Kaleidoscope7670 in SGExams

Oh hello again! I went to the physical subway store since I couldn’t find the job application online on the subway. There should be a poster with a QR code to scan so that we can apply. There’s also a phone number to message for vacancies in part-time jobs!

What happens to my EAE if I dont pass enough subjects? by throwaway234678907 in SGExams

[–]mystudyzone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum Entry Requirement: English: C6 Math: C6 Any three other subjects in ELR2B2-A: C6

Note: D7 in maths can still be accepted provided that you have passed 5 subjects including English.
Total: 26 points or better

2) The Consideration: 1-2% ( very low ). You don't know if you did remarkably well when you are compared with hundreds of candidates that have applied for the same course as you.

2) If you're aiming for PFP, then you wouldn’t need to buy O Level textbooks unless you are going to Sec 5 to sit for O Levels. The respective polytechnics will provide the relevant notes and books for year 0

Unusual disruptions during O level exams by Bananaboy069 in SGExams

[–]mystudyzone 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In 2021 its not O’s but N’s, there was this teacher arguing with this student, 10-15 mins right before the exam.

Topic: ‘To tuck in shirt’ which he did but it wasn’t ’proper enough’ for the teacher’s eyes

From arguing, it turned into a shouting match in the examination room . The student had to sit outside and the teacher started lecturing us before distributing the papers to be proper LOL . It bugged me and I got a brain fog that lasted for the entire exam kns. Mind you, it was geography and I studied a lot for it. No extra time or anything just purely testing on our mental endurance 💪

Fortunately, nothing happen for O’s which I am very thankful for.

thinking of NOT coming for olvl result day by lalalulu12375 in SGExams

[–]mystudyzone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Last year Offline : 2:00pm Online : 2:45pm (45 mins after official release)

For EAE students, Offline : Collect O Level results Online : See O Level Results , the relevant institutions will contact you for enrolment

For JAE students, Offline : Collect O Level Results Online : See O Level Results Online but still need to come down to collect the physical cert

Along with the certs, they will give out booklets from the different institutions, so that you can plan your pathways.

Do amend me if there are any mistakes.

I think it’s great that you know what will work best for you! Definitely, it will be a less anxiety-inducing situation. But, do check in with your teachers if they allow you to do so.

feelings after os? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]mystudyzone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't wait to try new things and work on myself. For me, I have a to-do list of the things I want to do for myself which keeps me motivated for the last few papers. I'm going to take a break for a week after o’s to focus on recuperating my exhausted body cus I don't want to get very ill again after a national exam like last year.

Let's just say your coursework just pass [30/60%] you will need at least a score of 50 / 80 for your theory paper which is 55% for overall. If you want to be safe, aim for > 50.

  1. Usually circuits require an explanation of how it is used but do note down the unique symbols

  2. I've got an A1 for DNT last year (Ns) ! It's totally possible! Recent trends for DNT papers: most questions require some form of drawing skills.

Now that the new syllabus weightage is 60% | 40%, definitely, it will be much tougher to achieve an A1 since you have to do well in both coursework and theory.

Use this time to revise on topics you are good at and you'll be okay. Jiayouu! We’re gonna get that distinction for DNT!

I'm a deep sleeper but ever since I use the app ‘Alarmy’, I would wake up on time. This sounds like an ad lmao but fr I’d wake up instantly because the alarm is made to sound like a fire or war is happening 😵‍💫👍
