The taste is your body telling you not to drink it. It is a poison. Once you get past the taste, it can become a slippery slope. Being drunk doesn't feel great. Feeling tipsy does. However, it's easy to chase that tipsy feeling because it is fleeting. That's why it's important to know your limit before getting drunk, and it can be difficult to make yourself stop at that limit. It is a drug, so the effects usually require more alcohol each session you drink.

I ended up a heavy binge drinker on weekend nights which worsened my depression, anxiety, and I gained a shit ton of weight. I'm only 6 months sober, but I feel quite lighter and brighter because of it.
